Pain Seers are easily blocked by early threats. Ultimate Price is dead against a majority of creatures. Sign in Blood can burn yourself too much if Siege Rhinos come online. Stab Wounds can open up Siege Rhinos for Bile Blights. Silumgar Assassin can be surprisingly effective against Deathdealers, Wingmate Rocs, Coursers and Den Protector.

Self-Inflicted Wound does work once again. Merciless Executioner provides value as soon as it hits the board. Duress removes vital cards like Collected Company and Dromoka's Command.

Obelisks are easily removed by Dromoka's Command. Pain Seers are also ineffective against early blockers such as Coursers and Fleecemanes. Again, Stab Wounds and Silumgar Assassin can work well against Fleecemanes, Coursers and Raptors.
