Red Spell Question

I know Abrade can be used to destroying artifacts. Is there a one or two drop that is totally red that will destroy enchantments?

Nope. Red has four spells which can remove enchantments. They are as follows:

Enchantment removal or unrestricted permenant removal is not really Red's strong suit. If you want enchantment removal, you will need to splash White or Green.

I would also throw in Capricious Efreet, but that's not especially reliable.

I wanted to amend my statement now that I had a brief moment to run a Gatherer search. In addition to legendofa's Capricious Efreet the following can also destroy enchantments:

I'm sure that's all more information than you wanted, but since I did the research for my own edification, I figured I would pass along my results.

You have to jump way up in cmc to things like Scour from Existence/Spine of Ish Sah/Universal Solvent

At 2cmc you have Ratchet Bomb

Looks like a splash of green is in order. :) I like Destructive Revelry the best.

Liquimetal Coating + artifact destruction might be the way to go. Otherwise as mentioned, your options are next to zero.

If you are looking for a mono red card that is Modern legal and that can deal with enchantments, there is none. That's part of this color's identity :)

You will have to splash Green or White to have access to these effects. However, in Modern, mono red builds tend to be so aggressive (with the exception of Skred Red) that you don't really care much about dealing with enchantments. Even the 'scary' Ghostly Prison, Leyline of Sanctity or Phyrexian Unlife + Solemnity are not always enough to stop you. And if they are, accept the loss because they will be almost the only tough matchups for you.

On a more competitive aspect, it's better to arm yourself with cards that can lock down some strategies (and red excels at dealing ton of damage quickly/preventing lifegain/destroying artifacts). Do your best and hope for someone else to eliminate your bad matchups before you reach Top 8! :)

As someone who has a mono-black, budget 8-whack deck, I have the same problem with artifacts and enchantments. For us the best hope is to rush them down before they can get their protection in place.
