Hello all. Recently I finished upgrading my Muldrotha Deck and I am soon going to start to build another commander deck. I am wondering what you all think I should build. Commanders that are off-limits (my friend's decks) are: Slimefoot, the Stowaway , Arcades, the Strategist , Niv-Mizzet, Parun , Jodah, Archmage Eternal , Chulane, Teller of Tales , Marwyn, the Nurturer , The Gitrog Monster , and Urza, Lord High Artificer . I am open to any options although I might want to build around Fynn, the Fangbearer , Skullbriar, the Walking Grave , or Velomachus Lorehold . Tell me what you think!

Atla Palani, Nest Tender has always stood out to me as the most customizable, exciting, and lastingly enjoyable commander I've ever played. I have an (exhaustive) primer on her in my deck Wait wait wrong egg WRONG EGG | **Primer**

I think Velomachus Lorehold could be fun.

Ayula, Queen Among Bears is the one I definetly have the absolute most fun with. But I like to play Atla Palani, Nest Tender , Yasova Dragonclaw and Otrimi, the Ever-Playful as well (Even though not as much as Ayula).

What kind of gameplay/gamestyle are you looking for or want to play?

Keleth, Sunmane Familiar + Falthis, Shadowcat Familiar aggro. I don't have any deep reason for this suggestion other than budget and originality, but it's one I've been thinking about myself.

They just announced Garth One-Eye, he seems like a super fun commander to build around.

Ranar the Ever-Watchful would be great for keeping your friends' decks under control. Among the ones you mentioned, Velomachus Lorehold would be the best. Fynn, the Fangbearer will make you the archenemy at the table, and there are so many better graveyard and counter decks than Skullbriar if you want to go that route.

CasualCucumber, I don't really want graveyard because I have a Muldrotha, the Gravetide deck. Other than that, I am interested maybe in something golgari like Chatterfang, Squirrel General, or a spellslinger deck of some kind.

Would help if you gave us budget, group power level, preferred play style, etc.... That being said, Xenagos, God of Revels has been a favorite of mine. I play it when I'm tired, as it's linear, can be built cheap and has an ok ceiling. Power level 6-7 at highest depending on how it's built. Even has an infinite combo of aggravated assault + savage ventmaw if you're into that.

Yes, my price range is around $200-$300. My friend plays Urza, Lord High Artificer , so I am assuming the power level would be high as long as it is affordable. Right now probably looking at commanders from mh2 like Grist, the Hunger Tide.

I think if you have a 200-300 dollar budget and want a high power deck go with The Gitrog Monster . This frog is a fast combo deck that on that budget can probably win T4-T6 undisruped. I have a Gitrog deck that has a 400 dollar budget and it wins t3-t4 consistently. So I say if you want high power low budget I would go with The Gitrog Monster .
