Stealing opponents permanents

I have a idea for a concept for a edh deck I might want want to try building, but I don't know if there is enough viable cards for it. I am not looking to steal opponents creatures "until the end of turn", but rather forever. I know memnarch is a commander that can do this, but is there a blue red commander out there that might be able to give my deck some variety other than just mono blue? Also, is there enough cards out there that isn't just abusing his ability so I can use another commander in his place? Just looking to get some ideas.

I'd recommend blue and black (blue steals existing permanents while black steals dead permanents).
Also just as a side note, if you want to steal the opponent's deck I'd recommend Thief of Sanity

Marchesa the black rose helps with this, steal an opponents creature until end of turn, attack with it to get a plus 1 counter then sac it so it comes back to you permanently

One of my friends have a Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge deck with the same goal as you. Run some copy cards and stealing cards and you'll have a good time!

Merieke Ri Berit works but you need to run lots of exile a creature you control and return it under your control. Steal a creature, flicker it and then it is your permanently even if merieke-ri-berit untapps. it can work very well.
I also use to run a clone based mimeoplasm deck but that was copying stuff rather than steeling.

your looking for pirates my friend! Admiral Beckett Brass does just the thing! The Sunk'n Norwegian is a deck I brewed for such a purpose.

Marchesa, the Black Rose - Her ability enables permanent theft even out of temporary theft effects like Act of Treason or Sower of Temptation . If it has a +1+1 counter when it dies, it goes to its owner's grave til end of turn, then comes back permanently under your control.

Kess, Dissident Mage makes for a great double effect on your steal stuff spells. The difference between this and Marchesa is it is steal from Libraries and Graveyards more than it is stealing form the field. Both are valid options.

My first arena deck was a steal deck..... Cool trick, if you steal your opponents legendary creature for the turn and then copy it ...only one legendary can be on the battlefield under your control at one time so you can sacrifice opponents creature and keep yours.

Thanks. Getting some good info here. I think I might go with that Jevela as my commander and I think the pirate that pirate and that double effect creature is a good ideas for the 99 in this deck. But I dunno, I think Kess might be the better option, but it looks like Blue Red and Black are the colors I will want to go with which means that this might be my very first THREE color Commander deck ( Excluding that 5 color, mostly black Halloween deck I made).

I played against an Olivia Voldaren yesterday which kept on stealing or killing my permanents. The killing was more potent (especially when he gave her deathtouch!) but it did steal what he wanted (especially not when he gave her deathtouch)

No one has mentioned yet that you can steal an opponent’s spells off the top of their deck with Gonti, Lord of Luxury ..

I actually upgraded my Jeleva Theft deck into my Dragonlord Silumgar Theft deck, and I've never looked back: The Bloodhall Season 1 - Dragonlord Silumgar

hey have a look at Skulduggery - A Sen Triplets Updated [Primer]
I have a section on stealing things, and if you scroll to the bottom of the alt options sections I have a list of options i considered for stealing, between the two sections you'll find what you need.
as far as commanders, I went Esper and Sen Triplets ..and built the deck around using others everything, so taking from opponents hand, deck, and board.
