Ad Nauseam Wincons

Commander Deck Help forum

Pretty Simple. I am playing Monoblack Demonlord Belzenlok Ad Nauseam, and I need Wincons. Ad Nauseam usually comes down on t3, draws 20-30 cards, and puts of mana rocks into play. I then use a couple of tutors to find Skirge Familiar, then discard a bunch of cards to have ~20 mana. I can usually tendrils one player out, but I need a wincon to deal with the other two. Torment of Hailfire X=18 doesn't work, because they can discard their hand to it. Suggestions appreciated.

Exsanguinate > Torment of Hailfire (in terms of finishing off a table)

Utilize any Blood Artist stlye combo and use Living Death to fire it off after discarding it all out

Aetherflux Reservoir and kci are great. Shadow of the Grave effectively doubles your mana to ensure a lethal Hailfire.

I'm failing to understand Aetherflux Reservoir as an answer
with Ad Nauseam your going to run your life down until the highest cmc in your deck will kill you
for the sake of simplicity lets say that leaves you with 10 life
in order for Aetherflux Reservoir to become lethal to 3 opponents you need to cast 16-17 spells

with a Blood Artist style combo like,
Blood Artist + Gravecrawler + Phyrexian Altar
Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista + Viscera Seer
Cauldron of Souls + Dross Scorpion + Zulaport Cutthroat
its just GG and again most the peaces can just be discarded for mana then cast Living Death to make it all hit the board at once

if you just wanted to bore people to death by drawing cards and looping redundant spells to build up a win condition you should try a mono blue deck at least then you could counter spell to protect yourself

Thanks. This all helps a lot. I will definitely add most/all of it.

RambIe - you should be building around Ad Nauseam you're not just putting a random 20+ cards in your hand. It should all be positive rocks, 0 cost rocks and free spells. You should be able to storm off and nuke people with the reservoir. I've done it a number of times and it's a lot of fun. There was even an instance I was able to gain enough life and use Yawgmoth's Will to Ad Nauseam again - was it necessary to win? No. Was it super fun? Hell yes.

RNR_Gaming I am building more for Cedh than casual but If I were to make a casual version, reservoir would definitely make it.

im not building a deck.. im trying to provide a solution to a current issue,
you don't have to Ad Nauseam to all 3 peaces of the combo - out of the 20 cards you only need 1 or 2 peaces of the combo and tutors for the rest which is why i'm also suggestion the use of Living Death because now it can be tutored to the grave yard also leaving a lot of redundancy to fetch
even though Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Walking Ballista + Viscera Seer is a three card combo
it only takes two cards to fire off Buried Alive & Living Death

RambIe - a 5 cmc card and a 6 cmc card are not what you wanna be doing in an Ad Nauseam build. While your combo would work assuming you had enough mana to pull it off, the deck should be able to pull off a main phase win if need be. Sometimes shields will only be down during your turn.

gatotempo highly suggest you look at the fish bowl sidisi deck that lays out why you should be running aetherflux better than my small little blurb.

RNR_Gaming my suggestions are based on the current conditions provided. Turn 3 draw 20 cards discard 20 cards to float 20 mana... there are no cards left to build a storm count there is plenty of mana to cast my suggestions

your basicly just suggesting to build a diffrent deck

I mean my suggestion is to build it as close to this deck as you can if you're after a cedh build.
