Consider Blood Artist and Falkenrath Noble , as they can drain your opponents's lives as you sacrifice creatures.

@riccochet I did consider them before, but I found their effects too small. Especially in a 40 life format with 2-3 opponents.

Have you tried Fauna Shaman it seems like it would be real good here?

Yes, I have been considering Fauna Shaman , but I'm considering Survival of the Fittest more. And really, I don't have either and can't get either at the moment, so I'm holding out for Survival.

The biggest reason to run Fauna Shaman over Survival is the cost of survival. If you have the budget for it it's significantly better than Fauna Shaman because you can use it multiple times in a turn and it lives through Wrath of God

This looks so much like my Golgari's Compleation Glissa, the Traitor EDH deck... I like it.

@jminute14 Survival of the Fittest will be making its way to the deck alongside Fauna Shaman . I always say "Redundancy is redundant" and try to use cards that do more or less similar things. Fauna Shaman is almost as good as Survival for different reasons. Aside from the once per turn Survival, if the Shaman ends up in the yard, I can get it back with relative ease, it fuels Jarad's first ability and Bonehoard , and.. it's another Survival of the Fittest .

Yup, the more cards you have that do the same thing...Butcher of Malakir and Grave Pact for example...the more consistent you're going to be.

@jminute14 the Butcher was in the deck, but I found that I was never playing him when I had Grave Pact and Savra, Queen of the Golgari . Both of which can be fetched with Dimir House Guard .

Yeah, at 7 mana he's expensive for sure especially if you have easy ways to tutor the other pieces out.

I would take out Hermit Druid before it's too late. By running that card, you eventually will succumb to the desire to take out all basics, then win every game on turn 3. I advise you not to take that path. I have done so, and can guarantee that people will hate you. Also, any experienced magic player will kill a Hermit Druid on sight, so you will never actually untap with it. Hope this helps! =)

@Blakkhand I desire to remove all basic lands from this deck as much I have the desire to take out Hermit Druid . Hermit Druid fills my graveyard and he's damn good at it and I don't see how milling myself out on turn 3 will help me. At all. If anything, I'd just be killing myself.

And of people kill him, so be it. It's a removal spell that I won't see targeting any of my other creatures. And I have many ways to bring him back.

Have you thought about putting Doomgape in here? +1 from me, I've always liked the fun and flavor of g/b graveyard decks.

Golgari Thug is such a super OP dredge card. Just sayin.

great looking deck, though Phyrexian Dreadnought , i feel should be in every Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord deck. You should check mine out Death's Revenge, I definitely would like to add Crucible of Worlds ----Life from the Loam ----Filth ----Scapeshift ----Hermit Druid ----Greater Good , all would be great additions but need help on cards to cut.

I'm inclined to disagree with Phyrexian Dreadnought . It seems way too ambitious for what I'm assuming you've suggested it for. In order to get any kind of benefit from it you need a way to sac it to something in response to its own ETB trigger, requiring other cards to make it useful which leads it to sitting in my hand until I get something like Altar of Dementia or Greater Good out first. However, I am also inclined to prove myself wrong and try it at some point. the thought of doming everyone for 12 with Jarad for 4 mana makes me smile.
