Look, I don't know if this is gonna be good, but it seems fun. With the new Escape Protocol spoiled today, I had to give it a shot. EP + Mystic Snake seems really good, yeah? I'll be doing playtesting on Cockatrice and editing as needed. Any suggestions, I am open to them.

Did a sample game against burn and went 2-1. Played against Amulet and lost hard. Played against gruul utopia sprawl and lost. Played against storm and won.

I have never drawn into Batterskull, but after gaining absurd amounts of life from Thragtusk, I'm not sure it's necessary? Maybe replace it with another card in the deck or a different one of?

I tried a game swapping Birds of Paradise for Arbor Elf and Rampant Growth for Utopia Sprawl. The mana generation is great but I'm not quite ready to commit to this until more experimentation happens.

I was wrong. Yes, you can get Ghost Quarter'd. But the early game extra mana is necessary; if they blow up a land, you get another, you're still up on lands. Getting that snake mana early is super important, even if you can't blink it.

-1 Batterskull +1 Shark Typhoon

....after gaining all the life, sometimes your 3/3 beasts aren't enough from Thragtusk. 1 copy of Sharknado as a mana sink gives you a big flier for the end game. You can get it back with E-wit and do it again. Also, Batterskull was never useful when played. Either I was gaining life from Thragtusk and didn't need it, or the creature side of it was mediocre. Not sure if this is a positive change, but something to definitely try.

Consider splashing red for Wrenn and Six. I've played a Naya Astral Drift deck before, and W6 is way too good with the cycling lands.

I would definitely play Coatl here, having an early game blocker that can be a part of your value engine is great. More 1 mana ramp is better than Rampant Growth. Maybe replace the Birds as well and play Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl, since you're playing 8 ramp spells anyway. That way you could cut back on a couple lands.

I'm a veteran of the old standard season of Onslaught and Mirrodin block where Eternal Slide (Astral Slide + Eternal Witness ) was quite the deck, so I used it as a baseline. I hadn't considered a splash for red, but Wrenn and Six seems crazy good for that purpose.

After more thought I definitely think Coatl deserves a slot too. I'll definitely give the Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl a chance, but I like BoP being able to block fliers and stall, and I know Rampant Growth is kind of sub-par, but it negates a 2-1 with Ghost Quarter, etc. But that's what playtesting is for! When I get a chance I'll update results!
