8 cards are 0 mana for a quick card draw which help not only to get angler but also to cast him quickly (Delve). sign in blood is there for extra help/card draw. I've also got removal, kill spells, and even bump in the night for extra damage, removal, board clearance, and they also hit the grave quickly for angler as well. Thoughtseize, sign in blood, and street wraith all deal damage to myself for not only nice card abilities but also are a little synergetic with death's shadow. Street Wraith, bauble, and all of my instants and sorceries help cast angler. Angler with death's shadow and scourge is a triple threat force to be reckoned with.
