Another Big Change —Aug. 16, 2021

a need for speed, plus a realization made me realize that transmute is a thing. it also can fetch me some of the most important cards in my deck such as Ramunap Excavator, Sylvan Awakening and Arcane Adaptation on that note, lets get into the changes! I'm gonna start with some boring ones i'm sorry.

Island -> Myriad Landscape Just some more ramp that i can maybe snag back. I like the card, and I'm still working on the lands.

Forest -> Flooded Grove I love my basic lands, but sometime there are lands that are quite simply better. This is one of them. Idk about shock and fetch lands yet, but those may come soon.

Forest -> Alchemist's Refuge I can be a little mean with this card and maybe hit people with an embargo after they swing out. Oooh I'm grinning thinking about that. Also nice with my untap abilities and has the ability to basically let me play my turn every time an opponent has a turn.

Island -> Memorial to Genius Simple change, just some draw

Island -> Tolaria West I was playing basketball when I remembered transmute was a thing. I ran my ass home so fast. Considering I have everything I need for a combo sitting at 3 mana, All i need is to use this to grab that extra piece and viola, my stuff is all the same.

Now for the actual MEAT

Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger -> Sylvan Safekeeper Though Vorinclex is an absolute bomb, he takes a lot to cast for a deck where i dont want to casting focus to be on creatures that aren't directly contributing to putting my board the way I need it. While technically Sylvan Safekeeper doesn't directly help my board state either, it protects it using the thing I can not only sometimes retrieve, but usually have excess of. Nice card to deter my opponents.

Splendid Reclamation -> Llanowar Scout With transmute making my Ramunap Excavator more accessible, I really don't need the extra land retrieval. Half the time its sitting in your hand waiting for a boardwipe or something else bad to happen, so I figure it's not as useful to me as a card that lets me throw out some extra land on an opponents turn. (and he's a cheap blocker)

Maskwood Nexus -> Horn of Greed As much as I hate giving things to my opponents, Im going to abuse the hell out of this. Just because of this card, I want to add Narset, Parter of Veils. As for maskwood Nexus, Its just another card being removed due to the powerful ability known as transmute.

Nissa's Triumph -> Gush Gush is great. I've been hoping to add it for a long time but didn't want to waste my islands. Now that the deck is modified so that I can usually get them right back on the battlefield, This is almost like giving me two mana and two cards. PLUS, i can potentially play it at instant speed. Nissa's triumph is just not as good, tho getting rid of it makes me question whether I have enough mana fetch now. Only time will tell.

Turntimber Sower -> Drift of Phantasms Turntimber Sower is a really good card to have and it may very well make a return appearance depending on how I feel, but for now it's going to the maybeboard in favor of the fabled Transmute

Adaptive Automaton -> Soratami Savant Picture this. I have 15 lands out by turn 7. The game is all powerful cards and decks have their themes all set to go. I have on my board 3 cards. Sylvan Safekeeper, Murkfiend Leige, and Soratami Savant. Add a Llanowar Scout or Burgeoning and the potential is absolutely tremendous. Plus Adaptive Automaton was such a boring card to play with. I got so sick of it so fast.
