Faster and more reliable. —July 29, 2020

I added a lot more ways to draw and tutor for what I need. Its crazy reliable now and allows me to pull out many different cards depending on specific situations.

I think Sword of Feast and Famine could be good cuz you could untap your urza lands so you could play more cards and if you want to make a tron like deck you could add Ugin, the Spirit Dragon?

@chickenekcihc Those are both awesome cards. I don't want to add Ugin, the Spirit Dragon or Karn Liberated because I like to create my own decks and brews. I feel like adding either of them into them mix would taint this brew. As for Sword of Feast and Famine it is a very good card, but it also seems like a "win more" card. With the urza lands out I can easily play my entire hand in a single turn if needed, no need to untap my lands. If I were to add a sword from that cycle into this deck it would be Sword of War and Peace because it offers protection from the most common sources of exile; and it does a little bit more damage and gains me some life. I did have some of the Sword of War and Peace in here in the last iteration of this deck but removed it in favor of more Dead-Iron Sledge and Nemesis Mask. Its just too funny to attack with a 0/1 Darksteel Myr with a Dead-Iron Sledge and Nemesis Mask equipped. I enjoy playing magic for fun, not necessarily to win, although winning is always fun!

I... What does this deck do?

@Saint1129 The main focus of the deck is to get a Darksteel Axe and a Worldslayer on either a Stuffy Doll or Darksteel Myr. There are various ways for each to get through and trigger Worldslayer leaving only my indestructible creatures, indestructible lands, and indestructible weapons on the battlefield.

Nemesis Mask can be used to force my opponent to block Stuffy Doll forcing them to take as much damage as their creatures do; or as a way to create an opening for Worldslayer to get through.

Dead-Iron Sledge on Stuffy Doll or Darksteel Myr is essentially deathtouch before damage is done. Throw in a Nemesis Mask on top of that and it can be a board wipe every turn for my opponent.

Avarice Amulet allows me to attack with my Stuffy Doll and still have it be a blocker, while also drawing a card.

Ghirapur Orrery lets me draw more cards when my hand is empty. Since the Tron Lands produce so much mana I'm often without cards in my hand.

Infiltration Lens gets me 2 cards for each creature blocking mine. You will always want to stop the thing with Worldslayer and Nemesis Mask forces you to block. So its a really effective draw engine.

Sword of War and Peace is there to offer protection from red and white because they are most likely to have exile in them.

I'm in the process of making a description just haven't got around to finishing it off yet. Did that help explain it a little better?

I've got to be honest.. I WANT to like this brew. There is a special place in my heart for out-of-the-box type decks. I have plenty of my own. I want to like it, but.. I can't.

The fact of the matter is, what you're attempting to do here is a spin-off variation of a Tron Deck. Nothing wrong with that. Except if you look more closely at what makes a Tron deck work, it isn't "just" the tron lands.. but the MANY ways they have of maintaining consistency with GETTING those lands. Whether it be: Ancient Stirrings, Sylvan Scrying, Gifts Ungiven, Expedition Map, Realms Uncharted, Thirst for Knowledge, or anything else. But your variant build relies strictly on either getting an Expedition Map, OR the EXACT Tron lands you need by Turn 3.

The harsh reality is that the deck is just too slow. You only have two creatures in the entire deck that you can drop before turn 3. That's an issue when you have zero mana ramp (outside of Tron lands, which you can only drop 1/turn), and 11 spells in the current decklist that are 4cmc or higher. That's a pretty hefty top end curve, and again, at the decks BEST, you will have Tron lands active by Turn 3. It's not a deal breaker, if you can guarantee those lands out by Turn 3, but if you can't, you will lose far more often than you will win.

@wonderboyrox you bring up some valid points. In my testing the deck has stalled out because of not enough mana. It's one of the reasons I put so much draw in here. Once I get to 3 mana I can use Darksteel Myr to block with a Dead-Iron Sledge. Just having that equipped usually buys me a turn or two. And if I manage to get a Nemesis Mask on him as well that usually buys me enough time to get at least the 5 mana up and running to run the deck.

I do agree that I need some mana ramp or some more effective ways of defending myself earlier; but I would still like to stay colorless for this. I've been considering adding Darksteel Ingot for some more mana, and as another source of mana that survives a Worldslayer. It would open me up to not having to be set up perfectly to use Worldslayer. Do you have any suggestions to help ramp up or defend that are colorless?

"Good" colorless ramp is one of the hardest things to find. Especially if you're trying to keep it Modern legal. There is a reason cards like Sol Ring are Banned or on the Restricted list, even for the formats it would otherwise be legal to play in. There is also a reason Tron decks often find one or two colors to use in their deck, too. And I think you can see why.

Also, not to be a stickler, but.. "using Darksteel Myr to block with a Dead-Iron Sledge" wouldn't happen by Turn 3, at best it would happen by Turn 4. And most Modern decks will have you dead.. or NEARLY dead by turn 4.
