I purchased the Pioneer Gruul Stompy Challenger deck for myself having never played Pioneer at all. I really liked the creatures in the decklist, but I wanted to add some power, as well as my own touch, to the deck.

Doing some research online, I saw that some people upgraded the deck by adding Embercleave, a card which I am a big fan of. I added my copies in, as well as some lands and creatures, and I've been having fun playing the deck with my friends.

Unfortunately, since I've never played Pioneer, I don't know how powerful the deck actually is in terms of the format and metagame. Is this a strong deck? Are there additional upgrades I could make to tighten things up? I'd like to add strength if possible, but I'm not interested in building Gruul vehicles since that doesn't seem like my jam.
