I’m a casual Magic player that has played on and off for about 20 years. I love the game, though there were many times where I didn’t have anyone to play with, so I would fall off the bandwagon. Fortunately, I recently got back into playing with a couple friends. I don’t own a lot of cards, but try to build decks based off of what I have.

Feel free to check out my deck designs and let me know your thoughts!

FAIRxPOTAMUS, I totally respect wanting to stick to a theme or idea when building a deck. I've done that myself and have had a lot of fun with it.

If you don't have a local game store near by, you could always check CardKingdom.com or a similar site to see if you can find the cards you're looking for. I've personally never used sites like these (I don't buy cards often, and when I do, I usually shop local), however, Card Kingdom seems to be reputable and has fair prices. Best of luck in your search!

I’m digging the theme of this deck! Leonin are super cool. Since you have so many creatures that benefit from being equipped, you may want to consider adding some more equipment artifacts. I think you’ve got all the Leonin-based artifacts from Mirrodin, but if you want some other great options from the various Mirrodin sets, I would suggest Loxodon Warhammer, Darksteel Axe, Strider Harness, or Livewire Lash.

If you are looking for additional cat-like creatures, Pride Guardian is a solid one-drop blocker.

Best of luck with the build!

This deck is great, and I hope I never have to play against it because I would lose for sure. Nice build!

Niko9, I’m glad you dig this list. I agree with you that players have to truly think about and choose what to do in situations when being attacked with infect. They can either risk a creature being permanently weakened or take what is essentially double damage from poison counters (which is the main reason I don’t like it. I like faster decks, but infect can be a bit much). Especially when you’re attacking with a card like Ichorclaw Myr, these decisions can be harder to make than with normal attacks.

I’ve always liked Ranger's Guile ever since it came out in Innistrad. It offers both offense and defense, and it has saved some of my important creatures from burn cards and destroy effects. With running a few less creatures in this deck than I normally do (and most of them only being 1/1), I knew I needed this card for some extra protection.

Thank you so much for checking this out!

I came for the name and stayed for the build! This looks like a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it and it brings you many wins!

pnkghst9, both of those are great cards. Birds of Paradise is a classic. I’ve never seen Trollhide before, but it looks like a solid regen/pump card. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking this out!

pnkghst9, I’d love for you to check out my Grab Your Amoxicillin, it's Infect Time! deck if you have some time. It’s not nearly as fast as yours, but I think you might enjoy it. Thank you for the inspiration on this!

Balaam__, thanks for stopping by. I wasn’t 100% sure about the Proliferate cards, and I think you’re right about going all in or taking them out. With the lack of Proliferate cards at my disposal, I’d probably be best off taking them out. Rancor is a great card, and would be a perfect fit for beefing up my characters. I appreciate your feedback!

Squee_Spirit_Guide, I’m digging the land cards you mentioned. It’s always bothered me that a lot of them come into play tapped (unless you pay out the nose for them); it just slows everything down. I’ll keep an eye out for them.

I think Might of Old Krosa would be right at home in this deck. I’ve seen that card before in other decks, and it seems super powerful. I’ve also seenGroundswell before, and, admittedly, it confuses me a bit. People aren’t going to play a land every turn, so wouldn’t it only be great sometimes and mediocre the rest of the time? I’m sure I’m missing something with that.

No joke, I’ve had an Overrun card since I was a kid and have never quite fit it nicely into a deck. It could be super cool in here with all the tiny creatures I have.

This is a really cool deck! I have some of the creatures here, and I think you've given me some inspiration on making a fast play infect deck. Thank you so much for sharing!

Squee_Spirit_Guide, some of the cards you listed are indeed classics. Depending on the situation, I think Mogg Fanatic could work better than Fanatical Firebrand, plus I like that Goblin Grenade gives a flat damage boost instead of have to ramp it up with mana like Blaze (although Blaze has always been one of my favorites). Goblin Piledriver looks sweet, and if I can get my hands on some, I think they’ll find a nice home in this deck. Thank you so much for checking out this deck!
