WALLS WALLS WALLS

Yes, I said Walls Walls are amazing. You use some walls to ramp, some to defend and all to attack. Thanks to out lord and savior Assault Formation we can make our walls fight back and at an overwhelming force.

The Deck

So the main objective of this deck is pretty clear, beat them down with walls. However, there is more to this deck than just that. We want as much walls out as early as possible, so we can optimize as early as possible around Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian This lets us ramp into Genesis Wave or Colossus of Akros

Ideally we would never wave for under 8, because we don't want to send that sweet colossus to the grave. We normally aren't hardcasting it anyway, most of the time it is from the wave, but otherwise we use out ramp to get it out early. Path to Exile is our creature removal

They Pithing Needle our Assault Formation That's why we have Colossus of Akros. They drop and Ensnaring Bridge Too bad, our walls still technically have 0 power! They do both? If it's game one were screwed, but if not, we should have already sided in our enchantment and artifact removal. Which bring us to our sideboard.

Sideboard Choices

(I hear that's important) Nature's Claim is your enchantment/artifact removal. Rest in Peace cuts off graveyard strategies. Stony Silence absolutly hoses artifact decks, and Pithing Needle gets rid of plansewalkers. Leyline of Sanctity is there for matchups like burn that interact with us more than the board and Fumigate is our typical boardwipe in case worst comes to worst against a go-wide deck. Damping Sphere is there to improve our storm/kci/tron matchup. Choke helps with out control matchups because those are our worst ones. Spellskite trashes on decks like boggles and infect that use spells to target their creatures
