The idea behind this deck is to take advantage of the bounce mechanic of Crush of Tentacles to return opponent's creatures, return your Demonic Pact (s), and create a massive octopus - all in one turn. Use the Eldrazi to generate tokens that can ramp into higher cost cards, or be used to play cards that help activate surge. Eldrazi can also chump against aggro decks while you get everything in place for Demonic Pact or even fuel for Bone Splinters, but generally you want to be using Disperse, Grip of the Roil and Ojutai's Breath to control your opponent's creatures, while using your rebound cards to activate surge.

Use Dispel and Duress to avoid spells that could prevent you from bouncing Demonic Pact or to control your opponent's moves. Transgress the Mind helps with bigger threats your opponents might hold onto after Demonic Pact forces them to discard.

This deck is intended to be playable in standard past rotation.

I'm also tinkering with the idea of creating this as a deck in Modern with Quicken as the surge activator.

It's my first time using deckbuilder (motivated by Pro Tour) and any suggestions would be appreciated!

EDIT: Added a sideboard that focuses more on single target removal and control. Also added a maybeboard with more surge-enablers and creatures. Tinkering with the idea of focusing more on token generation and sacrifice as a means of control, but can't find the space.
