Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty update —Aug. 6, 2024
Thank you very much for your support, comments and +1!
I updated the deck list, sideboard and description. If you have a suggestion please write a comment below. I appreciate it and I will respond as soon as possible.
Nef thank you for reminding me this land. I will buy it with new cards from Oath of the Gatewatch. I do not understand how could I forgot it because I have it in list of ally support cards. How many copies would you recommend playing?

LDM393 thank you for your suggestion but as you can see in the description this deck is budget friendly. Play set of Collected Company costs almost the same as the whole deck so its definitely not a cheap card.

my apologies, i thought coco's price went down. You could go with commune with natures, but i like lead the stampede a bit more. Also, natural state for the sideboard seems amazing

Now that twin doesn't exist, Natural State is going into my own SB. It is a great choice because most things we want to hit are 3 cmc or less anyways and the life from Nature's Claim can actually be relevant in an aggro deck like allies.

Nef and LDM393 thanks again for commenting! I added Natural State to my SB

Garruk Wildspeaker and Gideon, Ally of Zendikar are some planes walkers to mix with Oath of Gideon. Although Gideon is still fairly expensive, I've been trying out Garruk's -4 as a finisher. Since I have been only running 1 of each, I've used it once, but thats my suggestion!

Gideon is out of the question because of budget constraints. Garruk might be too I'm not sure if ehuez is willing to consider it.

to hotdogman413:
as Nef mentioned above Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Garruk Wildspeaker are out of my budget. I do not want to spend more than 5$ per a card. Anyways thanks for your suggestion.

Ahh my bad. I missed the budget part. Would you be willing to put in some protection like Ready / Willing or Ephemeral Shields? Or do you want to strictly beef up your guys with plus 1 counters?
January 19, 2016 8:01 p.m.
I used to play protection cards. Cloudshift which also triggers ETB so creatures can gain protection via Kabira Evangel or Scout's Warning and flashing creature to do the same. Right now I want to try it without protection with as many creatures as possible. I only sideboard Return to the Ranks against board wipes.

if you happen to get your hands on oath of nissa's i would reccomend playing them as a one mana can trip to find gas
January 20, 2016 4:24 p.m.
LDM393 Oath of Nissa is not a budget card so I am not considering it. Anyways thanks for your suggestion.

I think Champion of the Parish would be a great addition. It would basically be the same as Hada Freeblade as all of your other creatures are humans too. It wouldn't get buffed by Oath of Gideon or the activated ability of Captain's Claws but I think it'd give you more very aggressive games.

thisischeese thanks for your comment! Honestly, I am not sure about non ally creatures in this deck. Right now I test Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit. Its good in opening hand but later it hurts because it doesnt trigger allies. The same applies to Champion of the Parish.

I see you mentioned Ondu Cleric and Mirror Entity in your description, but aren't running them. I run three Ondu Cleric in the sideboard against burn and aggro and might main deck it if I was doing GW instead of 4 color. I run two Mirror Entity main deck.
I'm interested to hear how Captain's Claws are working for you.
Does Vines of Vastwood give enough utility to consider? (Save your guy by making it hexproof for one mana; getting +4/+4 for two; disrupting the other guys plans to enchant, equip, or buff by making their guy hexproof for one).

Salad_Thunder thanks for your suggestions. I was testing Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit thats the reason why I didnt have Mirror Entity in mainboard but I decided to play again Mirror Entity and Ondu Cleric because these two creatures have great synergy with lots of tokens which my deck generates.
Captain's Claws is probably the best card from Oath of the Gatewatch. It provides ally trigger every turn. I just love it!
Right now I do not play any defensive spell. I used to play Cloudshift which also provides ally trigger. Playing at least one new creature every turn is in my opinion better than protecting it.

I am thinking about mainboarding some removal spell. I am considering Oust. Any suggestions?
January 23, 2016 6:52 p.m.
Agreed on Captain's Claws. It's been surprisingly good in testing for me. Pre-OGW, if the game went past turn five or six, I'd start to run out of gas and go into top-deck mode, and I'd be super vulnerable to a board wipe. With Claws, I'm able to hold cards in hand since the tokens are doing the heavy lifting.
What are you encountering that requires removal? If it's a problematic blocker, then have you just tried upping evasion or making blocking less profitable? 1-2 Kor Bladewhirl, 1-2 Halimar Tidecaller, Bramblewood Paragon or Tuskguard Captain?
January 24, 2016 4:31 p.m.
to ukyo The need for removal spell is not caused by enemy player blockers but attackers. I have a problem with creatures with flying or for example yesterday i played against lifegain deck with Ajani's Pridemate which grew so fast that i was not able to block it without loosing my ally.

I feel like Savage Summoning is strictly better than Scout's Warning.

Would Gavony Township be too costly? I feel it would be decent in this sort of deck.
