Basic idea of the deck:

You control your opponent by controlling the top of his/her library with Lantern of Insight and Codex Shredder + Ghoulcaller's Bell . You will also be able to control the top of your library (zombies in graveyard not a bad thing).

Creatures:

  1. Gravecrawler-Obviously a great card for a deck like this. You don't have to play this card from your hand allowing you to mill it off the top of your library for a nice cycle and still be able to play him.

  2. Vengeful Pharaoh-now this card is difficult to use for the fact it can really slow you down. With the ability to mill the top card of your library this card becomes great.it allows for great control while it's in your graveyard. When his ability activates and is moved to the library just mill him back out. Virtually endless creature control.

  3. Havengul Lich + Rooftop Storm -this is like your endgame. For mana you can pull whatever zombies out of your graveyard and play them. Also you can play your opponent's creatures from their graveyard (thank you Exotic Orchard).

  4. Diregraf Captain-This card after some testing surprised me. Very useful being able to turn your 2/1 Gravecrawler into a 3/2 that you can attack with every turn and if they kill it they lose 1 life from the Diregraf Captain

Instant/Sorcery:

  1. Compelling Deterrence - A great card for this deck. A bounce spell that makes an opponent discard as well for . Just incredible in my opinion.

  2. Inquisition of Kozilek or Thoughtseize- For that early game to keep control of you opponent's hand.

  3. Languish- Creature control. A nice board wipe good against token and those quick agro decks.

Enchantments:

  1. Rooftop Storm- combos with the Havengul Lich . Super powerful for the end game.

  2. Secrets of the Dead - combos with pretty much everything in the deck but works best with Havengul Lich + Rooftop Storm . Havengul Lich zombies out the grave yard for each and then draw and play zombies for free thanks to Rooftop Storm.

Send me some love.. +1 if you like it! And let me know what you think would be good in side board for a deck like this. I think this deck has a lot of potential.
