So with the release of Shadows over Innistrad I thought I saw a new hope to reserect blue black control. So here is my take on it.

The idea is simple. Jace, Ob Nixis, and Trail of Evidence fuel your card draw. Forgotten Creation gives you chances to plow through the deck faster.

This is where you get your speed and your supply of spells. Most the decks spells either counter spells or remove oposing threts.

Infinite Obliteration can be pulled in to hit specific critical targets an opponents deck may have.

That leaves you yo win with Rise from the Tides. Spawning 15+ tokens in a single turn as a wind con. Counter spells in hand just in case. I try not to cast it without at least three blue land available to counter any responses.

For any reason if this does not work, Ob Nixis carries a wind con that can be fueled by Trail of Evidence.

I'm still working to alter the sideborde to better respond to hyper aggression but thus far this is what I have.

Round 1 (won) - white blue Spirit tribal

Round 2 (loss) - Blake white control? (Not sure if this is right but idk what kind of deck this guy had in mind)

Round 3 (won) - black green elves

Round 4 (loss) - black green colorless token? Not sure the proper name here either.

Round 5 (loss) - blue red mill

That last round took me COMPLEATLY off guard. Was not expecting what came at me at all. Had no sideboard state to deal with that.
