Winter's Grasp
Sorcery
Destroy target land.

I'm a Land Destruction fan too, and hoping for something like ...
As an aside, Shivan Wumpus is terrible in Modern. When ahead, it's just a win-more, and when behind, our opponent is more than happy to sac' a land, ruin out next draw, and keep beating face.

Unfortunately neither Winter's Grasp nor Wild Growth are modern legal. You could run Beast Within.
Or you could just have this deck be a casual deck. More power to you for running land destruction.

why not run a few Crop Rotation, Scapeshift and Maze of Ith? crop rotation will help you get the urza land you might be missing or maze in order to stop early aggro. things like Beast Within will way outperform your mold shamblers. Mwonvuli Acid-Moss seems better than most other land destruction you have. Winter's Grasp is the most mana efficient. and since you're ramping a bit I would play things like Woodfall Primus or Sylvan Primordial.

I like the theme, in a few playtests, it seems to have a distinct weakness against flying. I would consider finding room for 1 or 2 Spidersilk Armor.
While Winter's Grasp may slow your opponent down, with all the high casting cards you're running you slow yourself down too by spending a turn casting that, you're probably better off using that turn to put yourself ahead instead. Perhaps consider swapping in a Cultivate and/or Rampant Growth in place of 2 of the Winter's Grasps.

No, I've never seen anyone else play this kind of deck. I guess the closest thing to it would be an elf deck I played against that used mana dorks to ramp into a stream of green land destruction - Fallow Earth, Ice Storm, Winter's Grasp, Plow Under, Acidic Slime - which shares some of the same ideas but even then doesn't play out all that similarly.

Thanks for the input. And you are correct. Wasteland and Sinkhole cost a bit much for me. Stone Rain Winter's Grasp Thermokarst Ice Storm Argothian Wurm Plow Under and Raze will be considered. I already have Orcish Settlers in my deck and I'm just trying to figure out what to swap to get Strip Mine a place. I'm not really big on Dwarven Miner as it is limited to nonbasic lands, although it could be sideboarded.

I know certain cards are probably left out for budgetary reasons but, Stone Rain, Winter's Grasp, Thermokarst, Ice Storm, Wasteland, Strip Mine, Rishadan Port, Argothian Wurm, Plow Under, Dwarven Miner, Raze, Orcish Settlers are all good choices for LD. There are also other but these would get you some nice bang for your buck here.
