I meant if Machine God's Effigy is used to copy a creature like Replication Specialist. As far as I know if it copies Goldhound it becomes a copy of Goldhound but with the exceptions. Since it is an artifact it still is a Treasure but not a Dog since only Kindred and Creatures have the type. Would animating it in any described way activate the Dog creature type?

SomeDipshit: Thanks for the great suggestions! A few of these are ones that I had in my maybeboard but have since removed. I had Inventive Iteration Flip and Replication Specialist here. Moonfolk aren't really the focus of the deck, but I do usually like it when I can play one early to flash out Patron later. I have a Replication Specialist that I ordered for this deck, but have struggled to find a spot to put it in. Is there a cut you can suggest?
My playgroup frowns at mass land removal, and I feel like I'm already toeing the line of how mean I want to be with the deck, so Sunder is unfortunately off the table.
I love Fatespinner and I actually have a signed copy of it in my binder, but I'm trying to make the deck more focused and I feel like it's a great card but doesn't contribute enough directly to a win for the build that I have.

Yes that works. Gilded Lotus is untapped and on the battlefield when you're given the option to pay for Replication Specialist's ability, so you're allowed to activate it for mana.

Say we have Gilded Lotus in play with Replication Specialist and Brago, King Eternal. We flicker Gilded Lotus with Brago, triggering Replication Specialist... when Gilded Lotus enters the battlefield, can it then be tapped to pay for Replication Specialst, to copy itself...? My assumption is yes, but I can see the timing not working in my favor. Thanks in advance! :)
