Grief Tyrant

Creature — Horror

Grief Tyrant enters the battlefield with four -1/-1 counters on it.

When Grief Tyrant is put into a graveyard from play, put a -1/-1 counter on target creature for each -1/-1 counter on Grief Tyrant.

Grind As far as I know, I havent included any infinite loops. (kind of)

Mikaeus, the Unhallowed will allow for creature wipes using any of the following 3 creatures:

Grim Poppet / Soulstinger / Grief Tyrant

Of course, you will also need Ashnod's Altar out on board to make it work :)

In a perfect world, if you also have Fulminator Mage out, you can blow up all of your opponents' non-basics as well, as long as you distribute counters from the previously 3 cards that were mentioned, on to it while Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is out.

Obviously, they will be vulnerable to removal, which your opponents will most likely do, once they realize what your doing :D I still need to hash out the deck, and add in some protection as well.

dondorgathoI agree with Dusk Urchins, but the Regent isn't essential. A common misconception is that +1/+1 counters are good synergy with -1/-1 counters, but that is not the case in many decks, including this one. From what I am seeing, the point is not just to have creatures survive and attack, but for them to absorb counters and eventually die, which is demonstrated through cards such as Necromancy, Soulstinger, Grief Tyrant, and the commander itself. There are so many different other late game cards which are better in this deck in terms of synergy, such as Carnifex Demon. That said, the Regent is a VERY powerful card even despite the lack of synergy, and it should replace Vengeful Vampire if it were in this list.

Like the deck! I saw the spoiler on this, and I was super pumped about an EDH deck, as well. Something I noticed about The Scorpion God is that even if it's a centerpiece to the deck, you probably don't need the hexproof or shroud from the shoes. You can have it go to your graveyard, instead of command zone, and you can cast it from your hand for 5. If your library is exiled, you have to pay commander tax, but that's the only scenario, so it's really not that bad if it dies. You've got a ton of card draw, and you'll probably kill Anger with your own cards the turn or two after it comes down, so I'd replace both Lightning Greaves and Swiftfoot Boots with Anger. I haven't put together a decklist, but some of my considerations I didn't see here are Everlasting Torment, Cauldron of Souls, Grief Tyrant, Harbinger of Night, Hateflayer, Puppeteer Clique, Sickle Ripper, Soul Snuffers, Soul-Scar Mage, Thunderblust, Tourach's Chant, Throne of Geth, Volt Charge, Archfiend of Ifnir, Fang Skulkin, Fevered Convulsions, Rattleblaze Scarecrow, and Serrated Biskelion.

Cultbrand Cinder, Kulrath Knight, Pyrrhic Revival, Everlasting Torment, Growing Ranks, Safehold Elite, Gravelgill Axeshark, Grief Tyrant, Heartmender, Fate Transfer, Reknit, Scar, and Scuzzback Scrapper aren't legal with Hapatra as your commander. Hybrid mana counts as both colors for the purposes of color identity. Maybe it shouldn't, but it currently does.

Cool deck, dude. You might find Fate Transfer, Grief Tyrant, and Midnight Banshee very useful. Cheers!
