Anowon, the Ruin Thief
Legendary Creature — Vampire Rogue
Other Rogues you control get +1/+1.
Whenever one or more Rogues you control deal combat damage to a player, that player mills a card for each 1 damage dealt to them. If the player mills at least one creature card this way, you draw a card. (To mill a card, a player puts the top card of their library into their graveyard.)

The Water Crystal states: one or more, then that many plus four. Anowon, the Ruin Thief
attacks and isn't blocked. Anowon triggers it's ability that triggers once per player taking damage: damaged player mills cards. How many cards? One for every point of combat damage. In the trigger, that's one number. That's the number modified by the Water Crystal, so four more than the damage taken by rogues in combat.
That's how it works, Anowon triggers once for every time a player is dealt combat damage by rogues. Because the amount it's variable, the amount it's worded to be variable. But it's one amount per trigger.

Hey guys, Water Crystal from the new FF set says when someone mills, the mill that many +4. With Anowon, the Ruin Thief
, does will that be after the total, or since it specifically states 1 per damage, will it change to 5 per damage? Thanks.

You capitalize on the Faerie aspect pretty well, you could also take advantage of the Rogues you produce with cards like Anowon, the Ruin Thief
, Knowledge Exploitation, Stinkdrinker Bandit and Notorious Throng.

Cool, good for you! I don't have the money for Modern currently, and I have an Anowon, the Ruin Thief EDH deck, so Modern Mill is something that I really have been thinking about. This is a very nice list, does it come cheaper?
Yeah, Unmoored Ego would be useful with Emrakul around. I'd say it's worth experimenting.

I don't know if Zareth is a good choice for your commander since to use his ninjutsu ability he has to be in your hand. Anowon, the Ruin Thief is good for milling and pumping your rogues. If there's something i'm not getting, correct me

Personally, I believe that Anowon, the Ruin Thief cares about the action of moving a creature card, not exactly where it goes.

Helm of Obedience looks for cards being put into the graveyard. Anowon, the Ruin Thief looks for a creature card being milled. You can still draw when milling to exile.
