Anowon the ruin thief + rest in peace

How exactly does Anowon, the Ruin Thief 's Mil effect work with Rest in Peace ? I'm assuming the person who takes dmg still mills the cards, but they're put into exile instead. Does he still draw a card if a creature is ''milled'' or does it not count as being milled since milling specifically states that it is put into the graveyard.

Rest in Peace creates a replacement effect. Replacement effects are defined as, "A kind of continuous effect that watches for a particular event that would happen and completely or partially replaces that event with a different event." The mill still happens, but the card is put into exile as opposed to the graveyard. Because Anowon's ability reads "If the player mills at least one card this way...." it would still trigger because creatures were milled, but they just ended up in the exile instead of the graveyard.
