The best $20 you'll ever spend for a deck that can win turn 2.
How does it work? The idea is that you play cheap infect creatures and then pump the hell out of them for free with cards like Mutagenic Growth,
Bounty of the Hunt
, and Invigorate. The win condition is 10 poison counters for those who don't know.
Turn 2 win combos:
Turn 1: Play Forest then Glistener Elf
Turn 2: Play Forest then an optional Glistener Elf if they've pulled a 1-drop, chuck on a
Apostle's Blessing
for easy evasion. buff that bitch with any of the instant and sorceries in this deck, especially the free ones listed above, and then swing for critical damage.
Predator's Strike
, Canopy Cover and
Apostle's Blessing
are good for chumps.
Vines of Vastwood
is great for offsetting those pesky burns and you can kick it for +4/+4 which is amazing.
How
Spinebiter
works:
Turn 1: Forest and then Arbor Elf/Elvish Mystic. Ask if they concede
Turn 2: Forest and then
Viridian Joiner
. Keep asking if they concede
Turn 3: optional Forest, pump
Viridian Joiner
with any pump spell, play
Spinebiter
. Look the opponent directly in the eye, and tell them the wisest option would be to concede.
Turn 4: Pump
Spinebiter
, win. Tell them they should have conceded.
Phyrexian Swarmlord and Phyrexian Hydra are just really fun. I mean, its always funny to see your opponents cry! :)
THE MAYBEBOARD All of the cards in the maybeboard are really good, but too expensive to put in a budget deck. Put them in if you have enough money. If you're a rich bastard replace 4 forests with 4x Inkmoth Nexus. OP as hell. You can also replace the 2x
Predator's Strike
with 2x Rancor and if you can shove in a couple of Concordant Crossroads that would be sweet as well. Pendelhaven is a pretty cool land too.I haven't tested it but I've had a lot of suggestions for Winter Orb too.Gitaxian Probe is in the maybeboard just in case you find yourself running out of draw.
I really need help with sideboarding.
thanks for checking out this deck and +1 if you hate infect!
