Sorcery

Seismic Rupture deals 2 damage to each creature without flying.

E-Witness is gold. Regrowth is also pretty nice. Swan Song kind of sucks in the fact that it gives them a token that can actually block your big flying lizards. A much better card to run would be Silumgar's Scorn which will basically be Counterspell in your deck, or you could just run Counterspell as well. Icon of Ancestry, Tooth and Nail, and Worldly Tutor are all really strong.

For tutoring/filtering Winding Way is also pretty good, especially if you can find a way to cast it multiple times. That brings me to a pretty fun combo with it and other yard fillers:

Living Death, Patriarch's Bidding, or Rise of the Dark Realms are good game enders especially if you have Dragonlord Kolaghan or Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund in the yard.

As for tribal support/buffs I found these to be the best for dragons:

@Lord_KhaineI guess it's my fault for not giving a proper description. It's my first deck, made from a big library of cheap cards and some boosters. It's supposed to be a.. semi-control deck.

Basically, it's:-Some low cost creatures in the early game, letting the enemy do the same-To clear the board from the early game enemy creatures, Seismic Rupture, Pillar of Flame, Skin Invasion  Flip, and if the need be, Valakut Invokers.

-Then start counterspelling from mid onwards to prevent enemy's big creatures -Or if I get Switcheroo or Mind Control, let one big creature in and trade it for my early game low cost creature that hopefully still exists

-Win the endgame by having battlefield advantage thanks to counterspells

TLDR:Play normal early game with low cost creatures with the opponent, then try to destroy the early game stuff for my own advantage and counterspell, and win the game by turning your low costs with Hour of Need, Sphinx of Magosis, Eldrazi Devastator, Sorin, Grim Nemesis stolen enemy creatures.. and so on...

It has worked fairly well against my friends Delirium, lifegain ally, and Timmy/ramp green decks.I've been trying to balance this so that it's equally good against different types of decks, but aggro is still a big problem... I need better straight up damaging spells against that, I think.

But keep in mind that I'm someone who's just getting into the hobby and I have limited cards, but so do my opponents and this has worked extremely well. I haven't noticed any glaring problems, except that I feel like I wouldn't be able to handle proper aggro.

They only hits creatures but Fiery Impulse would do well or Galvanic Bombardment. Seismic Rupture in the side board would be good. And maybe some x damage burn spell

I played Pedro Carvalho's UR Thermo Thing today at GameDay and need some help against the sideboard against Aggro. My two losses were against BR Vampires and WR Humans. Both we're pretty bad blowouts. Any thoughts on the sideboard for it?

*For reference, I did not have Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip so I played Bedlam Revelers in his place.

I'm thinking Seismic Rupture or Weaver of Lightning, but don't know what to move. Thoughts?

Hmm. Well, that actually would be pretty nasty. I'll have to think it over. I think it would be batter than Seismic Rupture in the sideboard since it can deal with Abbey before it can flip and also would be pretty sweet against multicolor decks in short supply of a particular color.

Yeah, I'll give it a go :)

Seismic Rupture in the side should be replaced with Kozilek's Return considering the possible beginning of a tier 1-2 Spirit deck. It'll also catch flyers from other decks in general.

If he has many 2 toughness creatures, then maybe play Seismic Rupture? Zombies don't have many flying creatures and you have angels that don't get hit by it.

NestorCoelho here's my feedback after a few games.I still feel weird about the deck having a few cards only once, but the three matchups I had on Cockatrice were really not bad at all.

  • BG ramp: 2-1 for me
  • URB dragons: 2-0 for me, opponent had no chance whatsoever. He played two spells with which he showed me a dragon each, so I guess that the deck was supposed to play them
  • BW lifegain allies: 2-3 for opponent. Unfortunately lifegain is quite a good counter against this deck. If I had sideboarded and drawn Magmatic Chasm, I am pretty sure that I would have won the matchup. With Zulaport Cutthroat, Retreat to Emeria and Captain's Claws however, the opponent was able to block with one or two tokens and gain life off of it. That I still won 2 games is probably saying something good about the deck.

My thoughts on single cards:

I mostly used Abbot to get to my third land, not sure if that's intended, but I was lucky quite often. Reckless Bushwhacker is amaaazing. I would not have thought so, but against the decks that I played, I usually had 2-3 other creatures when I played it. I thought Exquisite Firecraft would be too slow, since it's 3 mana and a sorcery, but it's actually the topdeck that I very often wanted in the end, to finish off my opponent.

What I'm not sure about is in which case I would board in Dragon Fodder. I might replace it with Magmatic Chasm to get in those last few points of damage, when the opponent has established a good board position. Magmatic Chasm + Reckless Bushwhacker must be a brutal kill.

Did you ever feel the need to include some mass removal like Seismic Rupture or Kozilek's Return in case the opponent goes very aggressive?

Note: I'm not a very good or experienced player, so take those thoughts with a grain of salt :)
