So, I have been seeing a lot of Dingus Egg laying around the site. Some sort of Easter Joke?

Seems to keep to early lettered cards. Mostly a, b, and c's

SweetSupremacy says... #4

It just started for a deck I'm working on. I thought it was a weird defect at first but an Easter joke makes sense. I hope it goes away soon.

For some reason, a seemingly random selection of cards are appearing as Dingus Egg when tagged. For example, Dingus Egg is tagged as "Chandra, Flamecaller" but is clearly not a Dingus Egg.

... Halp?

March 22, 2016 7:23 p.m.

So what does Dingus Egg link to?

Edit: Oh.

Also experiencing this.. Demonic Tutor is also called "A Tutor" in my deck lists

March 22, 2016 7:34 p.m.

Kjartan says... #9

It seems that a lot of cards are being replaced, (namewise), by... Dingus Egg of all things. XD

March 22, 2016 7:40 p.m.

It's coming to be about April Fools day so when something odd happens I'm legitimately curious if it's a prank or what-have-thee-- anyway something odd happened and I want to know if it's just me.

What Happended:I load up my deck list and about half the cards are listed as "Dingus Egg." They still hover and link properly but the name shows as "Dingus Egg," which is a real card, so I curious-- glitch or prank?Further testing shows that it's occurring on my decks specifically, and not on others as I view them.

I just noticed this too. Not sure why it's happening.

March 22, 2016 7:42 p.m.

arleighj says... #12

I just noticed it too. Seems to be only the typical cards within a deck. Seems like a hack.

March 22, 2016 7:43 p.m.

beninator says... #13

In one of my decks like half or more of the cards are labeled "Dingus Egg" even though they show up as what they actually are when you hover over them. Are you guys getting something similar in My Way or the Highway?

March 22, 2016 7:45 p.m.

OneWinged says... #14

Is April's Fools coming early this year?

March 22, 2016 7:46 p.m.

DrFunk27 says... #15

I'm fairly positive the site was hacked and the coding was messed up. Happy early April Fool.

March 22, 2016 7:49 p.m.

nwabunwanne says... #16

Yep same thing happening to me

March 22, 2016 7:53 p.m.

Mine edition of the error is "Dingus(sing)" things in alphabetical order rather than randomly(?) like yours is. Sultai - Reanimator/Self Mill I really want this gone though. Care to brain storm solutions?.

Possible #1 Change the commander's colors and see if it is caused by a number of similar deck with the same includes.

Dingus Egg buy out in 3...2...1...

Happed to me just now

March 22, 2016 7:58 p.m.

Possible #1 did not work for me.

I temporarily changed Sidisi, Brood Tyrant into Ruric Thar, the Unbowed on this decklist Sultai - Reanimator/Self Mill

Possible Solution #2 Change the tags to see if it's proccing of of that.

March 22, 2016 7:59 p.m.

I found a temporary solution to the Dingus Egg problem.

F the offending cards

It seems to be happening to all cards starting with A-M, but leaves N-Z as is: Dingus Egg, Nighthowler.

March 22, 2016 8:30 p.m.

does Mana Leak still show up as "early counterspell?"

March 23, 2016 4:48 a.m.

Lol, please change it back. That's just the best thing I've ever seen. xD

March 23, 2016 1:01 p.m.

AugmentELO says... #40

I had an issue where Mana Leak was being changed on my decklist to "Early counter". Adding a specific printing (M12) fixed it.

Dingus Egg is love, Dingus Egg is life. Now watch as it spikes to $10000 as it becomes a meme.

March 23, 2016 9:12 p.m.

Phaetion how much bigger of a meme is Storm Crow and it hasn't even come remotely close to that price? :P

March 24, 2016 3:14 a.m.

RussischerZar says... #43

However, Storm Crow is a common, while the Dingus Egg is a rare!

March 24, 2016 12:42 p.m.

I believe I know the reasoning for the overload of Dingus Egg.

Now hear me out... with the recent spoiling of the card The Gitrog Monster, we have seen a slue of Gitrog EDH decks abusing sacrificing their own lands for card advantage.

This is the moderators of TappedOut giving us clues to take down the dreaded frog, as WOTC is giving Jace clues as to the fate of Innistrad.

Makes perfect sense, right?

Foil Storm Crows peaked at around $200 a year ago

March 24, 2016 3:43 p.m.

Oh I wasn't taking into consideration the foil price. Silly me, forgetting Magic players' obsession with le ebin maymays and foils.
