Burning Tree-Emissary + Champion? Need help!

So i'm thinking of a Naya aggro deck and I really want to put Champion of the Parish in, but I like Burning-Tree Emissary and maybe I could be wrong but I don't see that much synergy, besides the fact that she's a human. Here's my thought process, T1 -> Champion of the Parish ideally, and at that point, I cant T2 -> Burning-Tree Emissary because I threw down a plains, and by T3 i'd want something like Silverblade Paladin to hit the deck, so is she worth playing at all? I like that she can help ramp to Huntmaster of the Fells Flip but after that, a 2/2 beatstick coming down after t2-t4 is pretty pointless right? Sorry it's so long. any comments/suggestions would be great! still working on the deck but posting it just for funsies, Thanks guys! Yolo Naya
Yeah that's what I thought, don't know if you looked at the deck but in a naya aggro situation, is card:Avacyn's Pilgrim a good choice? I'm not really ramping up too hard, the highest CMC is like 4, do you think Thalia, Guardian of Thraben should be mainboarded to fill his spot or still sideboarded? Thanks again.

I'm not really well-versed in Standard as a format, so I wouldn't really be able to tell you much you don't already know or think. Thalia, Guardian of Thraben would be good against control, but that's pretty apparent.

The thing with the Naya human decks is that it is also playing Cavern of Souls along with the other lands needed for the mana base. So it is possible to go T1 > Champion of the Parish and Cavern of Souls to T2 > red or green land source to Burning-Tree Emissary and Lightning Mauler .

Ho shit! I hadn't even thought of my mana yet so I completely forgot about Cavern of Souls ! thanks! hmm Lightning Mauler is a must. But I don't know what takes precedence T2, Lightning Mauler , Mayor of Avabruck Flip or Burning-Tree Emissary (if I keep her).

going T1 champion of the parish then T2 lighting mauler and burning-tree emissary, your opponent will be at 13 life by turn 2. If that isn't strong, i don't know what is.

I agree with ckim777. If you are running R/W/G humans, then I think Mayor of Avabruck Flip is another must. Pumps your humans or you get a 3/3 that pumps out wolf tokens that get pumped and is a win con in itself. (W/ 1 Howlpack Alpha Flip you are getting 1 3/3 wolf token every endstep, w/ 2 you are getting 2 4/4 wolf tokens, etc.)

oh I know how good Mayor of Avabruck Flip is, he's a beast. dunno how badly i need card:Avacyn's Pilgrim though.

it's dependent on how many three drops your running. If your deck has more three drops than two drops use 4 card:Avacyn's Pilgrim. If not, then you don't need him.

T1- drop Temple Garden and play Champion of the Parish . T2- drop Sunpetal Grove and play Burning-Tree Emissary then Lightning Mauler and swing for 7. T3- drop land and play Silverblade Paladin bond with Champion of the Parish swing for 12.

Yeah I think Burning-Tree Emissary is too good to pass up. Don't know if I should replace card:Avacyn's Pilgrim though, and if I do, with what..

The thing about Emissary is she blows up turn two, especially when you have multiple in your opening hand.

There is a great discussion on this here: The Kessig Township. Vos_Is_Boss has been working on perfecting R/W/G aggro in standard for awhile.
I'm fairly certain that you'll want Burning-Tree Emissary Champion of the Parish Lightning Mauler Mayor of Avabruck Flip but not card:Avacyn's Pilgrim unless you're planning on ramping up to bigger baddies, which I'm guessing most people wouldn't recommend if the goal is all out aggro.

You'd be surprised how fun a turn 3 win is when you drop a Burning-Tree Emissary + Lightning Mauler (or better) on turn 2.

And you can easily pay for a T1 Champion of the Parish and a T2 Burning-Tree Emissary .
Shock lands are your best friend in Naya aggro.

Yea replace card:Avacyn's Pilgrim because your curve isn't very high. With either Boros Elite , Experiment One , Reckless Waif Flip , Stromkirk Noble . your choice

You know, if you threw down a Sacred Foundry or a Temple Garden you could still do Champion T1 and Burning-Tree Emissary T2

check my deck out and play test and you will see how burning tree and champion have synergy lol lots of turn 3 wins using varies combos involving burning tree lol burning poo revolt (fast naya human deck)

grrr lol i didnt know you commented before i did lol and in my defense Vos_Is_Boss i had no idea there were that many people that made this deck before i did lol i actually thought i might be the first for a while lol i made my naya as soon as gatecrash came out cause i fused my white green human that i had for a while and my boros deck together lol i was so shocked when i saw Burning-Tree Emissary for the first time i was like oh my god she is human lol and i can use other good 2 drop humans to pair with her and make champion big i thought i was so original lmao well atleast im the only one at my fnm to do it lol

I don't really think it's worth it. Unless you're playing tons of duals/shocks, it'll be hard to manage the R/GR/G cost while still paying the WW for Silverblade Paladin . On top of that, Burning-Tree Emissary still effectively says "Discard a card: Put a 2/2 onto the battlefield." I think you could probably be investing that deck space in more useful and applicable cards.
