Help with Niv Mizzit Parun

TLDR I need more control with Niv,especially against creatures. Anything you can suggest me? I'm just not a control player so I'm not that familiar with cards like them...

My friends and I play a private league games every week with points and rewards at the end of the league. We have one rule: your deck has to be a commander from GRN and the deck has to be built around the commander.

I play with Niv and I noticed that 1v1 I can win easily, problem is we usually play 3-4 players. It's hard to spread all my dmg with Niv even with cards that cycle my hand and library.

Chain Reaction, Aether Gale, Evacuation, Blasphemous Act, Cyclonic Rift, Mizzium Mortars for sweepers

Rapid Hybridization, Pongify, Reality Shift, Curse of the Swine, Chaos Warp for spot removal.

I assume you have counters in the deck...but here are some suggestions anyway, in case you haven't heard of them: Ionize, Disallow, Counterflux, Misdirection, Rewind, Summary Dismissal (personal favorite of mine), Overwhelming Denial, Arcane Denial, Negate, Essence Scatter...

I know most pillow fort cards aren't instants or sorceries, but if your problem is getting overrun in combat, you could try Propaganda and the like.
