A bit of New —Sept. 16, 2016

The deck has taken on a bit of blue to facilitate Paradox Haze synergy, with this change the land package has been updated and we say goodbye to Contagion Engine.

Solid Deck! Really creative. My only suggestion would be to try Contagion Clasp instead of the Engine. No it doesn't proliferate twice, but its more efficient early game. You wanna get the saprolings swarming early on instead of after turn six. Ya know?

@Sergal I had thought to add Contagion Clasp over Contagion Engine originally for an early game option, however I found that the Clasp really doesnt do much to help my early game as its 4 cost activation is more mid game which at that stage I had more important cards to play such as: Sporesower Thallid and Doubling Season. To that end I decided on rounding out a solid late game with the engine which can be used as a mana-sink at that stage.

I would recommend Fungal Sprouting over Fertile Imagination

can't think of many decks you would be up against that would net you more cards with FI than FS

Fungal sprouting is tempting but I've found that in most instances when I play this deck I rarely get more than 4 saporlings at most from Fungal Sprouting in general most of my creatures in this deck are extremely weak, Thelon of Havenwood helps to buff them but he often is the first to be spot removed. Plus Fertile Imagination lets me look at the enemies had which can be an invaluable utility.

AEther Vial? I think flashing in a Thallid could be cool!

That was tempting but I'm trying to budget my spending on non competitive decks. Adding an extra $160 or so for a play set is just to far out of my price range for this deck. But thank you for taking the time to comment.

It's got to be said I forgot I even made this deck XD I just updated it a bit to give it a more streamline approach while keeping the theme intact.

I love this deck and thallid decks in general. I am a fan of the Life and Limb and Sporemound infinite combo but it is definitely to gimmicky for this deck. Have you thought about running Maelstrom Pulse as a 2 of in the main or side? I find it really helps if you need to remove a larger threat or sometimes you get lucky and take out a couple cards netting a two or even three of.

Maelstrom Pulse was in my main board but I replaced it in favor of Abrupt Decay I will take a look at my side board and see about fitting in 2.

Sprout Swarm can get pretty bonkers.

I actually REALLY like Mycoloth in here because Sporesower Thallid adds spore counters so he gets bigger with Thelon of Havenwood.

I LOVE IT

In general this is a deck that focuses on going wide rather than tall, utilizing its creature base as a means to trigger and fuel sacrifice mechanics in order to both control and win. The listed cards are nice but far to linear and high in cost for what I need.

Saprolings are so dumb. I hate to admit I've lost to saprolings through a derpy sac loop with utopia mycon, blood artist, Parallel Lives and Jade Mage. A jade mage!!!

Nice deck. Any room in this deck for Sprout Swarm or Chord of Calling?

I would actually advise adding blue to add in Paradox Haze, because Doubling Season would technically double those counters twice per upkeep. Insane. Plus taking three turns just to make one saproling is too slow. Just a thought.
