So here is my newly revised, standard-ready White-Red Detain/Similar mechanic deck. During games, as a cosmetic change, most deaths due to spells and creatures are in fact arrests made.

Azorius Arrester

"Stop right there criminal scum! Nobody breaks the law on my watch! I'm confiscating your stolen goods. Now pay your fine or it's off to jail."

Here is the main inspiration for the deck. The Azorius Arrester is the main source of straight Detain.

Haazda Snare Squad + Master of Diversion

"I never tried to be mercenary or a killer but a hard working fighter."

The Haazda Snare Squad are little more then bounty hunters, searching for their next target. Payment of pure white mana is essential in keeping the mercenaries from simply killing their target and bringing in a corpse. The Master of Diversion is another bounty hunter, and a cowardly one at that. He creates a distraction that leaves his opponents distracted long enough for him to deal the stunning, or sometimes killing, blow.

Court Street Denizen

"The Boros fight for justice. The Azorius fight for law. I hold the line between, and make sure the people are given both."

Viewed as little more then vigilantes determined to keep their streets safe, the Court Street Denizen is skilled at keeping criminals at bay long enough for guardsmen to arrive and arrest the lawbreakers.

Murder Investigation

"Someone's been murdered!"

Sometimes someone is murdered. That's when the imperial guardsmen arrive to investigate.

Act of Treason

"I am an urban informer. I am not a snitch."

Sometimes the law calls upon its many underworld informers in times of crisis, and almost every time they call the lawbreaker comes running. Over the years the skills different individual informers have displayed have proven invaluable, and it has become an unpleasant but useful practice.Sometimes the informer is in fact an undercover guardsmen, sent in to infiltrate the criminal underworld. This is a rare occurrence.

Deputy of Acquittals

"Everyone deserves a day in court."

Sometimes a crime is so severe that the Deputy of Acquittals is called forth to mediate and to investigate. Sometimes this arrival is unforeseen and surprising. Most often, however, it means that the Deputy is taking over the role of the most senior of investigators and sends him off to another case.

Updates Add

Changed a few creatures; added some cards to the sideboard; removed mountains to see how effective 4 Gates and 4 Promenades are at providing Red.
