UPDATE: After a bit of playtesting and research into the modern space, I've retooled this deck to make it faster and be more responsive to decks in meta. It's still a budget deck, but should be on the more competitive side now!

This is my first crack at a modern burn deck using budget cards and fun combos! I thought of this idea when I encountered a combo in my EDH deck Elemental Rage - Exploding Tokens!.

The general idea is to toss a few big boys Spitebellows, Lightning Skelemental, or Ball Lightning into the garbage with Cathartic Reunion or Bone Shards, or by simply evoking or hard casting them. Then we reanimate them with Thunderkin Awakener, and swing for big hits - if they die, who cares! We'll just reanimate them next turn.

The real hero of the deck is Flamekin Harbinger who tutors for any of our creatures, and can be brought back from the bin herself with Thunderkin. That being said, the deck's linchpin is Thunderkin Awakener, so if they get axed, use Unearth to get them back in play and swinging. If Thunderkin is extracted/exiled from the deck, it certainly slows us down, but the deck is still quite aggressive without them.

The ideal play here is this

By nuking our opponent's creatures with Spitebellows and Bone Shards, controlling their hand a bit with Lightning Skelemental and Inquisition of Kozilek, and burning them for direct damage with Lightning Bolt, it should leave them open for the kill in 4-5 turns. Theoretically, anyway.

Real world playtest coming soon! Any comments, suggestions, or alternate budget cards are welcomed and appreciated!
