Sigarda's Prototype

Standard Mono-White

Knalus

Sideboard

This deck is built around Lupine Prototype, and the attempt to get some quick hits in early, followed by late game evasion. The deck uses the fact that Eldrazi Mimic can mimic any colorless creature, to allow for a deck with Lupine Prototype to hit for 5 or more on turn 3, then follow that up with strong turn 4-6. At 5 toughness, the prototype whiffs most removal in this format - Languish, Grasp of Darkness, ect cannot deal with a creature of toughness of 5. In addition to Lupine Prototype and Eldrazi Mimic, the deck includes a few creatures that can be cast for 0, in order to get a surprise prototype attack in, such as the Endless One, and Hangarback Walker. Matter Reshaper is great value, and Topan Freeblade works with the Artifact and Enchantment package.

In addition to the creatures, the deck includes an equipment package. Sigarda's Aid is a very low cost card that allows these to be flashed in and automatically attached, which is great for a surprise block or for a swift pump before the attack. Bone Saw, and Cathar's shield can both be played for 0 cost to allow for a fast Prototype swing, and Stitcher's Graft can be cost for very little. Sigarda's Aid and Stitcher's Graft in fact actually have additional value, in that it can be a pump spell AFTER the creature attacks, which means that creature does not have to stay tapped in once the attack has resolved, because the attack happened before the graft is in play. In addition, the Graft works well with Vigilance. With a white theme, Topan Freeblade is the cheapest value with Vigilance in terms of creatures I could find, and Cathar's shield also works well with the Stitcher's Graft. Gryff's Boon allows for both an attack pump, AND a great evasion. If you are playing against spirits, you need flying, if you are not, flying is great late game evasion that allows you to end the game. In the Land base, there are a lot of value cards for a package like this. Ruins of Oran-Rief can mean that your Hangarback comes in for 2 with 3 mana, and works with all your creatures except for the Freeblade and the Endless One. Rogue's Passage allows you to push past blockers in the mid game to try to put the game away, and Sea Gate Wreckage works in this deck more than others because of how swiftly you empty your hand.

Your sideboard can change the deck entirely. It runs a white eldrazi package, of Smashers and Seer's, but also has the Displacer, which has great synergy with the Endless One and the Prototype. Spatial Contortion in this deck is both a removal spell, AND a pump spell, because of the high toughness of the prototype/Mimic. Declaration in stone is merely more removal. I thought about having Spatial Contortion in the Main, but I wanted the deck to get that one suprise hit in before sideboarding in the rest of the package.

In game one - Don't be afraid to mulligan ;)

I don't pretend that this deck is anywhere near tier 1, but for some rogue deckbuilding, it's pretty fun!
