What are your thoughts on Hedron Crab vs Merfolk Mesmerist? The crab comes down a turn earlier and you don't have to pay mana for its ability, but with 0 power it won't be killing anything without a sword slapped on it. The crab does rely on land drops though, so there will be turns where you can't benefit from it, unlike the mesmerist.
And man, it's been forever since I've seen a Scalpelexis hit the table. Thanks for the little nostalgia trip. There is a reason why the casual format rocks =)
