Scalpelexis

Creature — Beast

Flying (This creature can't be blocked except by creatures with flying or reach.)

Whenever Scalpelexis deals combat damage to a player, that player exiles the top four cards of their library. If two or more of those cards have the same name, repeat this process.

Thanks for the suggestions Davinoth! The casting cost for Scalpelexis is a little high so I can't really justify it without having a mill sub-theme. I appreciate that Infiltration Lens would basically serve as a secondary Skullclamp, so I will try to find space for it. I've never seen Raven Guild Master - love the Kev Walker art on that one.

Very cool build, +1 for the build but also the title! xD

Love a lot of your card choices like Throne of the God-Pharaoh and Fell the Mighty. Thoughts on Infiltration Lens, Raven Guild Master & Scalpelexis? Think they'd be right at home here!

One more idea is Scalpelexis .

PhotogenicParasympathetic on Who is your favourite "Uncommander?"

lifemtg: Lol, my bad - I read that as "commanders that aren't commonly played" not "commanders that are uncommons."

'S not for normal commander, but Kasmina, Enigmatic Mentor is a sweet oathbreaker/commander in a playgroup that will allow it. Lots of proliferate to keep her going, she smooths out your draws while dropping tokens for protection, and her passive helps protect important creatures like Laboratory Maniac etc.

And of course, there's Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive , and all the 1 power/toughness creatures, like Rootwater Thief , Scalpelexis , Raven Guild Master , Mindshrieker , etc.

Well, unfortunately, Scalpelexis is exile, not mill, so that wouldn't help too much. Honestly, I really don't know if the mill is that strong, but I admit, I really like the look of the card Guiltfeeder. But under all circumstances, I should find room for Ulamog's Nullifier, that just looks amazing. And I have an Oblivion Sower already, so perhaps I could just slot it over. I really like the look of your deck elgosu1337, it's just that I don't have the capacity to spend on that many good cards. A real pity. I like eldrazi a lot, when they're mine, and having ninja shenanigans to go with them is really cool.

Is the mill from Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker and Scalpelexis strong enough? Guiltfeeder and Graveblade Marauder could be really strong if so.

If you're exiling that many cards, Ulamog's Nullifier, Wasteland Strangler, and Oblivion Sower become really useful, and they benefit from Vela's intimidate as well. I made a Vela deck featuring those Eldrazi cards along with ninjas to bounce and replay them, so you can take a look at the synergies.

I dont know man, I dont know...

I dont really see it working out myself, but I also dont really know what your plan is, so maybe you got some tricks still to come.

The plan I see here is to control the board, until you get out Tutelage, at which point you attempt to continue to control the game while slowly milling them out with tutelage and card draw?

If so I think theres a few hurdles that the deck must overcome to be viable.

First off, you have no hard kill spells, and very few hard counters, and not a lot of hard card draw either. This means when the game goes late, they have a good chance of getting out an unburnable creature and beating you to death before your mill strategy has a chance to win. You dont really have enough hard draw to be able to keep your hand full and stack up a bunch of burn if needed either.

This same lack of hard draw I feel will leave you with not a ton of tutelage triggers. And tutelage is really a pretty mediocre mill card, even if you are getting 3 triggers a turn.

The multiple cards if a same color clause can basically be ignored, as most modern decks are multi color, and even against mono color decks its pretty unreliable. I would probably usually prefer to cast a Scalpelexis over tutelage when I hit 5 mana in most circumstances as he is a good blocker and I think you may need one at that point in the game.
