This deck initially was going to be a weird "Empires-Tron" combo deck but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to make this more of a fun Artifact-Empires based theme in which my friends would want to play against and not give up after a few turns (this often happens with other decks of mine).

So, obviously, Throne of Empires , Crown of Empires , & Scepter of Empires is a major component in the deck once all three cards are out you can create & steal creatures and deal direct damage to a player.

The next combo in the deck involves Angel's Tomb & Glint Hawk Idol . Both of these cards become artifact creatures with flying to swoop over and strike high when artifact/other creatures enter the battlefield.

Some zero drops also play a vital role in the deck. Ornithopter for flying/defense, Memnite for quick little strikes, & Mox Opal for helping with getting metalcraft in order to give Etched Champion his protection and to provide extra mana (really it is in the deck because I have only one of them and I like to show of cards).

Steel Overseer & Master of Etherium are singles because other copies are in other decks and they just complement Tempered Steel as power/toughness boosters.

Darksteel Juggernaut & Thopter Assembly are the higher CMC cards to help supplement the deck if needed later in the game. These cards will be the first to get removed from the deck if I find that mana is an issue.

Tezzeret the Seeker is there because he does help support the rest of the deck. The big question is whether or not I can get him out successfully.

As for the lands, I need to be able to get to both double blue and double white in order to play Tezzeret the Seeker and Tempered Steel . Ancient Den , Seat of the Synod , and Darksteel Citadel provide additional artifacts for metalcraft.

I have not play tested the deck against others as of yet since I just built it today (3/12/17) but my sample draws I have conducted have worked out. If it all pans out well, I am confident that this deck can win games anywhere between turns 6 through 12 with good/ideal opening hands.

I will update this with possible sideboard options once I figure out what I need to put in and if I find that getting lands out is a struggle. So for now, ENJOY!!!!

Played against a Vampire Ally deck and won two out three games.

The ideal win came with an opening hand of Mox Opal, Memnite, Ornithopter, Steel Overseer and three lands. Two of which were artifact lands.

Turn 1: I played the three 0 drops which gave me Metalcraft then I played an artifact land which allowed me to cast the Steel Overseer.

Turn 2: Drew Glint Hawk Idol, Played a land, taped Steel Overseer, and attacked for 3 damage. 2nd Main phase I played the Glint Hawk.

Turn 3: Drew another artifact land and played it making Glint Hawk Idol a creature. Taped the Overseer and attacked for 8 damage.

Turn 4, 5, 6. The last few turns my opponent was on the defense trying to block, exile cards, or destroy creatures before the last little damage got through.

It was a great game.
