RDW Dash

Ixthinon

Standard

Score: 10

Description

Standard RDW with some black and possibly some white in the future. I think white may be splashed to accommodate the sideboard for cards like Blind Obedience .

Updates

#3 in tournament @ World's Collide — Feb. 15, 2013

Lost the first game, it was a mirror match-up however I lost the roll for first and game 3 I was major flooded. Ended up with 4 lands in my hand at the end and played a land every turn.

Despite the rough start I managed to win every other game :)

#4 in tournament @ World's Collide — Feb. 1, 2013

Came in 4th place, won 2-0 against all but my last opponent which beat me 2-0. He was playing a mirror match up and went first. Blarg !

looks good although you should consider dropping the Vexing Devil for something else like Legion Loyalist .

I think the black part of it should be scrapped altogether, Dreadbore , Illness in the Ranks , and Rakdos Charm , all sideboarded, aren't worth adding it in.

Legion Loyalist is already main board.

I made a deck similar to this, check it out. I need help/advice on mine. I tried a similar approach and made it splash some white instead of black. Boros Deck Wins

Why 4 legion loyalists? Great ability on it, but its very easy to remove. In my opinion, dropping down the number of loyalists by 1 or 2 would give you a better chance of drawing one after you already have a few creatures out. Let me know what you think.

I think 4 has been really helpful. I seem to always get one when I need it or have it in my starting hand and can hit them right away for something T1.

-4 loyalist, -1stonewright, -2 shred-freak, -3 vexing devil.

+4 stromkirk noble, +4 rakdos cackler, +2 pyreheart wolf

loyalist - okay for the mirror match, but generally first strike/trample won't help you that much.

shred-freak - too vulnerable, no synergy (lightning mauler is better)

Vexing Devil - stops you establishing board position. It's a sweet effect, but your opponent will always choose whatever benefits you least.

nobles and cacklers are the best one drops at the moment hands down.

Pyreheart wolf wins games! Especially soulbonded to a lightning mauler as a sneak attack - "Surprise, my entire board is basically unblockable!"

Still playing this deck? Planning on adding white might give you access to some hasty humans for the aristocrat...

I was reading your updates, and i noticed that you did well except in mirror matches. I think that you should splash white and switch the sideboard Dreadbores for Blind Obedience.
