Mortal Combat

This is a deck that revolves around the card Mortal Combat . It uses self-mill and other shenanigans to put lots of cards into my graveyard.

The Combo

In order to get the combo off, the deck uses a lot of early game spells, including Glimpse the Unthinkable, Golgari Grave-Troll, and Satyr Wayfinder to put a lot of cards into the graveyard. Once this deck has enough mana, you can then cast Mortal Combat . For protection, I have included a small counterspell package consisting of Negates.

Plan B

What happens if the deck isn't drawing into those Mortal Combats in time? If that happens, you can always just use Phyrexian Obliterator, Pack Rat, or Villainous Wealth. There are also lots of other end-game cards that do the trick as well such as Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Lhurgoyf .

Sideboard (WIP)

I am considering some Zombify if the deck accidentally dumps something you need, other than that, maybe take out blue and put some Siege Rhinos in.
