This deck gets much better with the addition of Desert to its manabase. This deck, like any other control deck, aims to keep the board clear of the opponent's creatures while presenting threats that are difficult to answer. Mono-Red Control also has the added benefit that most of its removal is also reach, making it capable of closing out games more effectively than other control decks.
