Ramp —Dec. 14, 2011

I have a problem of getting enough mana early on, so I figured adding more ramp. I am worried about going from a 60 card deck to a 64 card deck. I took out the 3 autumn's vail and added 3 Rampant Growth instead. Also added 3 Sphere of the Suns making the deck over 64 cards, but adding tons of ramp in the deck. So we will have to see how it works with tons of play testing.

I was about to say more elves, less non elves, than I read sam's comment. So I wrote this instead.

Cool this looks pretty good +1. I love me some elves so Ill suggest a few things.

I think the strength of Copperhorn Scout + Greenhilt Trainee is not to be underestimated. I have won many a game attacking with Elvish Archdruid , Ezuri, Renegade Leader , Copperhorn Scout and Greenhilt Trainee , they attack, everything untaps, retap the archdruid for mana, buff with ezuri, put an extra 4 power on whatever isnt being blocked lol.

Could you explain the use of Gladecover Scout ? Ive always been a bit unimpressed with it.

Lead the Stampede is great card advantage.

Gutter Grime > Fresh Meat imo

Have you considered going -2Forest +1 Mountain +1 Kessig Wolf Run just for a small extra win condition?

Gladecover Scout was put in there for the hex proof, making sure that i always have a elf in play... this deck is going to be getting over hulled in a bit. I have been working working on my Whiskers?! deck and my legacy infintiy deck.

Well I tried this at 65... and didnt like how it ran... as u see it went back to 60. As for the Kessig Wolf Run I am adding it... just realized that I could pull it out with Primeval Titan . So it makes sense.. sorry for the delay guys.

I agree... i like being able to pay the life instead of mana option... but I gotta get them first. But I guess I will change that up before tons of people say the same thing... thanks

I updated it how the deck is now.. I ran it last week in the tourney and it ran pretty amazingly. I add one of each none basic land for just in case land destruction, and it paid off in the first match. I really like this deck, I feel there is no better deck for green.

I have made a few more changes to the deck. I made the reason why into the description. People are mainly running Control decks at my local tourneys. Plus I think they make them better off over all. The biggest change is taking Ezuri, Renegade Leader out for Thrun, the Last Troll .

Thrun, the Last Troll is great. I'd consider moving card:Autumn's Veil to the SB. I guess if the meta game in your area focuses on U/B it would make sense to keep it but otherwise it needs to be sideboarded.

yeah... pretty much every deck at the tourney was at least one of those color that card:Autumn's Veil effects. Out of 14 people there were 3 decks that didn't have either of those colors and that is including my deck. I have been checking other decks around and notice that people are putting Inkmoth Nexus in decks similar to mine. It could be another win condition, but I don't think I will run it cause I dont like jumping onto the band wagon for infect. When I tooled Kessig Wolf Run and Triumph of the Hordes into this deck it was for the trample, not the infect.

I ended up adding Inkmoth Nexus into the deck.. but it wasn't added for an activate and ramp. It was more answers in the deck.. it allows me to have a flyer or still be offensive after a Day of Judgment . I can't stress it wasn't for the normal reasons of other decks

i suggest going with 1x Rootbound Crag and 1x Mountain .. reasoning behind that is that you can fetch the mountain with the emissary if you have a wolfrun online earlier than expected

December 5, 2011 7:08 p.m.

Papdaddy_44 says... #18

the reason I haven't put a basic Mountain in the deck in worries of it not being effective deck. Rootbound Crag gives that added ability of still being effective in the deck and to activate Kessig Wolf Run granted it would be nice to have it be basic to pull it out of the library and onto the battlefield.
