This is my spin on Aetherborn Tribal. It has a few elements of control, but mostly I just wanted to capture the feel of Aetherborn in a deck. That being said, this isn't likely to be a super competitive deck.

Anyhoo, BIG updates since I first started working on this deck. First off, some of the subthemes didn't pan out through testing. -X/-X effects make for good, interesting removal, but even in Standard some things just require a bit more efficiency. So Die Young has been replaced with Grasp of Darkness (instant speed. doesn't give energy, but doesn't spend any either). The sideboard is loaded with different forms of removal, from Lost Legacy and To the Slaughter to straight up Murder.

Energy turned out to be a huge part of this deck, but some of the energy sinks just stunk. Gonti's Aether Heart turned out to be a dud. Turns out, there aren't any good sinks in black except Demon of Dark Schemes, and that actually works against this deck. So our sinks for this deck continue to be Glint-Sleeve Siphoner and Gonti's Machinations.

Included Ob Nixilis Reignited in the main board. With as many cards as we're drawing, if he ever gets the chance to grab an emblem we have an alternate wincon.
