A mono-red heroic/prowess deck, shoutout to
Infectious Bloodlust
for letting red have Rancor.
A rundown of the deck:
Teetering Peaks
is a spell AND a land!
Monastery Swiftspear, Satyr Hoplite,
Akroan Crusader
, and
Mage-Ring Bully
all have synergies with the noncreature aspect of the deck. Thanks to
Akroan Crusader
we not only have the option to go big but also to go wide, and sacrifice the tokens to a Liliana of the Veil.
Cartouche of Zeal does a lot, and can win games. It makes our creature hasty and makes a creature unable to block. Dragon Mantle replaces itself (which is also pretty awesome), and gives the creature firebreathing (which is very good in the deck).
Infectious Bloodlust
, the namesake card, does a lot for us. Although it is weak to Path of Exile effects, any other removal spell lets us get extra value. Madcap Skills makes the creature hard to block and gives it a big power boost.
Temur Battle Rage is a pretty insane card, and we almost always have ferocious. Apostle's Blessing for decks with an unhealthy amount of removal (or for getting past creatures). Titan's Strength can be another surprise pump spell, gives a big boost, and scrys!
Basilisk Collar does a lot more than you think it would. I can gain you enormous amounts of life, and it allows you to trade off with your
Akroan Crusader
tokens against much bigger creatures.
SIDEBOARD TECH:
Apostle's Blessing for decks with an unhealthy amount of removal (or for getting past creatures).
Lightning Bolt for killing things like creatures, planeswalkers, and players. Pyroclasm also kills lots of creatures at once.
Molten Rain for decks like Tron.
Relic of Progenitus for graveyard shennanagins
Smash to Smithereens for artifacts.
