Aggro Life Gain

Aim

The idea behind this deck is to gain lots of life whilst simultaneously making one or more Voracious Wurm and/or Ageless Entity massive.

A conventional game for this deck consists of weathering whatever storm an opponent might unleash for the first 5 turns, levering things such as Heroes' Reunion to keep me in the game and or putting out distractions as Fleecemane Lion.

Past turn 5 this deck normally hits its stride with enough mana to cast a Rhox Faithmender or Wall of Reverence, these as the key to the deck. Once these hit the battlefield the life gain this is capable of starts getting ridiculous to the point where my life total has been in the 10's of thousands. This of course makes anything with Sunbond or an ageless entity ludicrously huge.

Fending off removal with Alpha Authority or Sheltering Word if an opponent is running heavy control lets me swing for the kill once whatever monstrosity I've created has been given trample.

An example of how big a Voracious Wurm can get with this deck by turn 6:

Turn 4 : Rhox Faithmender Turn 5 : Heroes' Reunion + Voracious Wurm which comes in as a 16/16 Turn 6 : Predator's Rapport targeted at the first Voracious Wurm results in a 2nd Voracious Wurm coming in as a 66/66

Giving one of these Unflinching Courage or equipping a Behemoth Sledge means the start of massive amounts of life gain by only turn 6.

Admittedly its not the fastest deck but you can easily afford to go down to very little life before getting all of it back and then some.

Key Combos

Heroes' Reunion + Voracious Wurm The start of the massive wurms.

Predator's Rapport + Voracious Wurm Massive life gain on a pumped wurm.

Rhox Faithmender + Wall of Reverence Lots of life gain each turn for no mana once on the battlefield.

Main Board

Ageless Entity A massive threat when this deck starts gaining lots of life.

Fleecemane Lion The number one target for Sunbond and a Behemoth Sledge when made monstrous due to it being very hard to remove from the battlefield.

Rhox Faithmender Allows ridiculous amounts of life gain which can make an Ageless Entity or anything with a Subond to be made into a game ending threat. For instance an averagely large Wurm in this deck is around a 9/9 (11/11 with a Sledge) which means a Predator's Rapport will give me on average 36 life for 3 mana.

Voracious Wurm The card this deck was built around, can be massively pumped for hardly any mana with the added bonus of gaining lots of life in the process.

Wall of Reverence Its ability means anything enchanted with Sunbond or an Ageless Entity doubles in size for no mana cost every turn with the added bonus of proving lots of life gain. It's flying defence also proves very useful.

Behemoth Sledge Due to the fact that only Fleecemane Lion's (when made monstrous) are immune from most removal spells are useful to transfer between creatures.

Ajani, Mentor of Heroes It's +1's either let me pump some of my creatures more, or search for them out of the top three cards of my library. It's -8 could feasibly gain me 200 life and bring an Wurm as a 200/200.

Heroes' Reunion The key life gain card to kick off the large creatures, with 4 mana giving you both 7 life and a 9/9 Wurm if both cards are available at the same time.

Feed the Clan Will easily reign in 10 life with the creatures this deck can put out.

Predator's Rapport Allows large amounts of life gain when creatures have been made big and stompy, which then makes them even more big and stompy if enchanted with Sunbond.

Alpha Authority There's nothing scarier than a massive Wurm with trample than a massive Wurm that can't be targeted by removal and can only be blocked by one thing with trample.

Sunbond Allows more creatures to effectively be made into an Ageless Entity, which double in size when they attack when given lifelink

Unflinching Courage The enchantment equivalent of a Behemoth Sledge and crucial to making this deck work, as there's no point in having an 9/9 Wurm without trample.

Sideboard

Sheltering Word Replaces Predator's Rapport when coming up against removal or burn decks.

Spirit Mantle Replaces Unflinching Courage when coming up against other aggro decks or decks running creatures with Deathouch.

Melira, Sylvok Outcast Defence against infect decks.

Intervention Pact Useful against decks running infinite damage combo's.

Disclaimer

All my deck centre around trying to do one or two things well based around a certain theme, they are not intended to be able to defend and cope with everything and anything that comes their way. (Good Card Suggestions vs Deck Dilution)

I am a 'kitchen table' player with a limited budget. As with all my decks advice and suggestions (as well as +1's) are always very welcome but keep in mind anything above the $5 per card mark I'm unlikely to consider.

The more reasoning you can give with any suggestion you make, the more likely I am to consider running it in the deck. This is because I can't always spot the combo or idea you are going for. Letting me know what your thinking gives me a better insight into how you think this deck might be made better by the suggestion.
