Don't Over Exert Yourself (or Tap on the Shoulder)

Casual Mono-White Weenie

Natarator

Insert some witty intro line here.

This deck aims to abuse the exert mechanic from Amonkhet. Exerting a creature when it attacks gives you a little bonus, at the cost of stopping the creature from untapping on your next turn. Well, what if that creature didn't need to untap? There are two ways we can do this so you can get your exertion bonus on every attack.

  1. The first, and most obvious, way to stop your creatures form tapping when attacking is to give them vigilance. Captain of the Watch and Oathsworn Giant can give vigilance to a majority of your team for repeated exertion. Paragon of New Dawns and Sandstone Bridge can give vigilance in a pinch.
  2. The other way to negate exertion's drawback is to untap the creature yourself. Veteran's Reflexes can untap a singular creature while Tenacity untaps your whole team. These effects also double as combat tricks to get you some pumped up extra blockers.

Go forth and don't over exert yourself!

This deck is a part of a collection of decks I built called Battle Decks. This collection was inspired by the collection of decks created by Card Kingdom of the same name (https://www.cardkingdom.com/catalog/shop/battle-decks). These decks ARE NOT made to be perfect, 100% optimized, best decks of all time. They are created to fun themed decks, built with a restriction of only using 4 rare cards.
