Make your opponent choose between regular damage from Kiln Fiend and Monastery Swiftspear, or Infect damage from Blighted Agent and Ichorclaw Myr.
.. Hell, why not just give Infect to Kiln Fiend and Monastery Swiftspear as well?
Based off an old Storm/Beatstick deck I used to run, I've added Tainted Strike and a few Infect creatures to put added pressure on the opponent; and force a choice between losing.. and losing badly.
As simple as it seems in a list, I consider the deck to be of an advanced piloting level. Admittedly, it's an exercise in patience as the damage isn't always lethal turn 3.
Blighted Agent- Evasion + Infect just add pumps!
Ichorclaw Myr- This 100% aggressor pings away at your opponent for a creeping 1 Infect damage. Also, gains plusses when blocked, making this a great colorless addition to any Infect build.
Kiln Fiend- Huge aggro pump per spell. Gets big quick, and is lethal with Assault Strobe + Tainted Strike. Monastery Swiftspear- Haste makes this an all-game aggressor.
Ichorclaw Myr- This 100% aggressor pings away at your opponent for a creeping 1 Infect damage. Also, gains plusses when blocked, making this a great colorless addition to any Infect build.
Kiln Fiend- Huge aggro pump per spell. Gets big quick, and is lethal with Assault Strobe + Tainted Strike. Monastery Swiftspear- Haste makes this an all-game aggressor.
Apostle's Blessing- Protection for your creatures from sudden removal.
Assault Strobe- Doubling up on damage. Oftentimes, a game deciding spell.
Distortion Strike- The evasion can be a bit redundant, but the aggro +1 makes this more valuable than Artful Dodge; and the free recurrence, in a speed deck like this, gives it an edge over Slip Through Space.
Manamorphose- Mana fix, and replaces itself.
Mutagenic Growth- "Free" pump. Best when used on Kiln Fiend.
Tainted Strike- Again the aggro +1, makes this valuable all around, but value is best when used as a pre-damage follow up to an already pumped Kiln Fiend or Monastery Swiftspear.
Titan's Strength- +3/+1 and Scry 1 for a bit of deck fixing for next turn.
