these can be replaced by some combination of Chainer's Edict, Diabolic Edict and Murder

Accumulated Knowledge can be replaced by Think Twice

one Prohibit can be replaced by Mana Leak or Deprive

one Mystical Teachings can be replaced by Whispers of the Muse

two Evincar's Justice can be replaced with some combination of Deep Analysis, Compulsive Research and Probe

two Dimir Aqueducts can be replaced with Dimir Guildgate

One Lonely Sandbar can be replaced with one Island

two Evincar's Justice and Ghastly Demise can be replaced by Gurmag Angler

Hydroblasts can fit in the sideboard and if you are only playing less than 3 Evincar's Justice in the main at least the difference should be in the sideboard

I'm a simple man. I see Dimir, I'm interested.

To be blunt, this list looks far from efficient as it is missing most of the tools that make control powerful in this format (such asBrainstorm). You're also lacking a definite win condition because I only see removal and countermagic. I think it might be easier if I show you the framework of what this kind of deck should look like. (Will DM the link)

This is what I think the deck should look like approximately. Your deck isn't very focussed unfortunately.

Well, I think the above poster is wrong. You have a pretty good shell for a Dimir Control deck that hits all the check marks, but could use some polishing.

Brainstorm, with a grand total of 0 cheap ways to shuffle is a bad idea. Your definitife wincon of Evincar's Justice plus talisman is pretty good, but I am baffled by the inclusion of a single Curse of the bloody tome.

Deprive and higher numbers of Fountains seem like the way to go for me. Going down to 2 justice and adding more card filtering in the form of ponder/preordain will be decent for sculpting your hand.

Boza Hmm curious I didn't see that. I think you're right about Brainstorm, but I feel like a control deck would need some kind of definite creature win con.

Tbh Im glad I saw this deck, because the Delver list I came up with looks like something I would buy.

I think the counterspell package is largely meta dependant and could see a meta where only 2 Evincar's Justice is correct it is a good way too lock elves out of the game and other small creature decks, the benefit of curse is that you can play it out earlier and wait and they can't disrupt it later in the game, I usually board it out when pyroblasts come in. Mana Leak and Deprive can be better but are worse in respectively: tron heavy metas and tempo/non burn aggro metas. It could be correct to play one Think Twice but Preordain and Ponder, I doubt could be good enough because one of the primary strengths of the deck is playing at instant speed, or all Think Twices, this deck is very commmitted to a controlling gameplan and can afford too play very few win cons, creatures can be disrupted by most of our opponents, and it is difficult to fight over creatures, it is partially a playstyle decision to play this style of deck and a creature build is probably slightly more competitive. I am considering trimming a justice and curse and going for the Think Twice plan, thanks so much guys.
