Introduction

This is an extremely cheap mummy deck (under $20 for whole thing), that focuses on the synergy between curses and ETB effect mummies. I wanted to make a mummy deck as soon as i saw the curses and thought about a story where grave robbers enter an ancient pyramid in search of treasure and accidentally awaken the mummies within and now suffer the curse.

The deck really abuses the synergy of Curse of Disturbance with the triggers, but unfortunately that particular curse is commander set only, so this deck ain't gonna cut it in a regular modern tournament, but can easily be played with your friends if your looking for a cheap and easy way to get started. Otherwise the card can be cut without hurting the deck to much, if you decide to cut it I would add 2 more Wall of Limbs and 1 additional Liliana's Mastery

Reading this Decklist

Above you'll see the cards sorted into custom categories, this section explains those categories. Some are obvious, while others may not be so I'll go over each one and it's role in the overall decklist.

1. Anthem: Cards that buff your entire Mummy Army, great for going in for the kill or otherwise making your mummies a little more threatening. Bread and butter here.
2. Buff: Cards that enhance themselves or others, like Anthem but a little more focused, good for turning one weak mummy into a Giant Mummy Threat.
3. Burn: Cards that do direct damage to the player and ignore the field, this is the primary way you will win most games and apply that pressure without actually attacking.
4. Board-Advantage: Cards that add tokens to the battlefield, Basically the main way of building your mummy army.
5. Catalyst: This is a big pile, and that's because it represents cards that create synergy and combo off of each other, which this deck is very good at, almost all the cards work off each other well.
6. Deterrence: Cards that scare your opponent away from attacking, that way you can safely burn them to death.
7. Evasion: Cards that allow your mummies to slip right through your opponent's defenses for some extra damage.
8. Recursion: Cards that either return from the graveyard or return other cards from the graveyard for some additional use.
9. Sustain: Cards that increase your life, allowing you to outlive your opponent and disarm weak evasive attackers.
10. Threat-Response: Cards for blowing up or removing annoying threats, like a beefy creature.
