Aggressive, efficient creatures, with a healthy dose of discard and removal.
Depending on your draw and your knowledge of your opponents deck, you can start by reducing their hand as your prepare your defenses and get ready to make a threat like Ammit Eternal or an eternalized Dreamstealer stick. Some draws encourage more aggressive play. We have enough creatures, and many can be re-cast from the graveyard, so it seems ok to go for broke if there's an early break.
This deck is not dependent on the graveyard, but it makes good use of it. We have Dreamstealer , Scrapheap Scrounger , Dread Wanderer , and also Never//Return . There is a lot of staying power to grind out games against control decks. Menace on Dreamstealer and Afflict on Ammit Eternal give us some reach. I think Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs is actually my favorite card. Solid blocker, more reach, pings planeswalkers. Please tell me if you think this card is lame though, I may just be overly optimistic on it.
We can swap out a lot of creatures with our discard and removal heavy sideboard to make our second matchup very different. This pretty cool and I have been having good luck with it.
So far I have had the most trouble with some of the enchantment/artifact based combo decks. In particular white has been a tough matchup. Life gain can slow us down considerably. I need to learn the new cards better too!
This is not strictly a budget deck, but it currently is very affordable. If there is a next level card or two to add please suggest it! Also, I need help figuring out the sideboard/maindeck breakup. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think you can also get two decks out of this with aggressive swapping of creatures for discard and removal.
