Sideboard

This deck was a competitive Standard deck built around the great synergies going on with Cats in an older format season. Combining green and white cats into an unstoppable army this deck slowly builds an insurmountable board state and overwhelms it's opponents with creatures and creature tokens.

At the center of the deck are two cards that tie it all together. Both Regal Caracal and Pride Sovereign can each carry a deck by themselves. Together in this shell they are an unstoppable force.

Adding Oketra the True to this mix of cards adds even more pressure on your opponent and basically guarantees you will always have board presence. Then the rest of your army is filled with cats with lifelink that can come back from the dead even bigger, cannot be countered, or bring their own army with them.

The support cards protect your creatures from destruction, boost the number of tokens you create or help you destroy opposing creatures via the "fight" mechanic.

The sideboard is filled with general answers for decks you may face. You can swap in and out anything that does not fit your local meta.

So if you like the idea of a snarling and hissing horde of felines or a solid deck that gets stronger the longer a game goes then this deck is for you! Here is the card breakdown:

The Creatures:

Adorned Pouncer: This amazing 2 drop just gets better and never loses relevance as the game progresses. The double strike keyword means any boosts and anthem effects are worth double their value in pain to your enemy. Then eternalize means it comes back as a huge double striker. If a Regal Caracal is on the field it even has life link. Very strong at any phase of the game.
Initiate's Companion: This card is a high power attacker for a modest amount of mana. But it's usefulness extends beyond that. It can also untap your Exerted Pride Sovereigns.
Oketra the True: Even though she is slightly off-theme for being a god and not a cat and producing non-cat tokens Oketra is such a strong card she belongs in this deck. Being indestructible she is a great target to use for removal with your copies of Nature's Way. She is hard to get rid of and will build an army that must be addressed or your opponent will become overwhelmed. Add in she makes a great blocker with her giant body and you have a great all-around support card for your deck strategy.
Pride Sovereign: Part of the core of this deck, this is one cat that if not removed will just run over your opponent. He grows with your army so never stops being a monster threat. He produces an army with lifelink all on his own. Too bad you can only have 4 of them in a deck.
Prowling Serpopard: A couple of these in the main deck and a couple more in the sideboard creates a safe environment for you to cast your cats even when facing permission decks. Amazing versus control decks and even without getting lifelink or other boosts their own high power makes for a solid threat on the board.
Regal Caracal: The other side of the core of the deck. Brings an anthem effect for cats, lifelink for all cats and brings even more cats with it onto the battlefield. Incredible and combined with the Pride Sovereign can prove impossible to defeat for many decks.
Sacred Cat: Every deck needs a good 1 drop creature. And a card with lifelink and Embalm is perfect. And did i mention it is also a cat?

The Other Spells:

Nature's Way: This card has two roles in the deck. One is as removal for problematic opposing creatures. Target a boosted Pride Sovereign or Oketra the True and destroy something. The other is as a combat boost for high power creatures like your sovereigns. Adding trample to something can let you get damage in on your opponent even if blockers stand in the way. Especially with a sovereign once you fill the board with cats.
Heroic Intervention: This card is fantastic for 2 mana. It stops almost every form of removal or manipulation in the game and extends its protection to all of your creatures. Amazing card that is almost all you need to win many games you will be playing.
Prepare / Fight: This card serves double duty. As a great combat trick from your hand and then from the graveyard it serves as more removal for the deck. In a way, it adds some slots of Nature's Way.
Anointed Procession: Anointed Procession is a huge boost to the deck once resolved. With it in play it means that your Pride Sovereign's, Oketra the True's and Regal Caracal's token production just gets so huge that your opponent cannot hope to stop them. With a copy of Heroic Intervention in your hand and this card in play you will just demolish any opposition.
Cast Out: There will be times when you just need a good all-around answer for things to help your game strategy. And this card does it all. Even though it leaves a target in play, there will be many times other threats you have on the table require more attention than this. Or that your opponent just may not draw into something to remove it. And when not needed it can be cycled away and replace itself.

The Lands:

Not a lot to see here really. A set of Evolving Wilds to thin your deck and fix your mana. Then a full grip of basics to fuel your magic.

The Sideboard:

Appeal / Authority: Sometimes you need more tricks to deliver the pain in the red zone. And this card can do it. From your hand it makes any creature boost like the Pride Sovereigns in your deck for 1 mana. From your graveyard it taps out blockers and lets you swing into the red zone without risking your own defense.
Cast Out: The only thing better than this card are more copies of this card. Swapping these into main is a good idea when facing combo decks or all-in strategies.
Fragmentize: A 1 mana answer for many cards out there you may face. Just good removal at a good mana cost.
Gideon's Intervention: This card may cost 4 mana but it can totally shut down a deck's ability to win. Combine this card:with Cast Out and you pretty much just seal the deal on your opponent.
Prowling Serpopard: When facing control decks this is a great swap-in to make sure you land your cats on the field and keeping your game strategy rolling. Adding 2 more to the main just reinforces the strength of your deck in those kinds of match-ups.
Saving Grace: This is a great answer to combo decks or big burn strategies. It renders them ineffective. Especially when you have something like Oketra the True to target with it.
Watchers of the Dead: Instant speed graveyard hate stops any kind of recursion strategy. And can throw a wrench into some combo decks.

That is it for the deck. Please leave any comments or suggestions here.
