Want Not (Modern MTG Deck)

I've set out trying to build a respectable deck without breaking the bank designed around Waste Not.

Abyssal Nocturnus + Jace's Archivist
The theory is to focus on bounce and discard to interrupt my opponent's board while building a zombie army through multiple Waste Nots under my control.
Whispering Madness is central to either win condition in this deck. It digs through my library, and forces big repeatable discards that feed Abyssal Nocturnus and Waste Not.
Master of the Feast was the star of this deck in it's standard version. It is still a very aggressive creature whose drawback is an advantage in a deck like this.
Ruthless Ripper replaces Pharika's Chosen as the one-drop. The added option of getting in an extra 2 damage in the late game while still being able to have a 1/1 deathtouch-er for one seemed like a strictly-better option.
Endless Obedience gets back discarded or killed creatures with a little help of some zombie tokens.
AEtherize and Cyclonic Rift function well, even if I don't have the means to force the discard that turn, but really shine if the bounced cards end up fueling my Waste Not or Nocturnus.
Negate is the counter I went with because it's cheap, costs only one colored mana, and deals with the non-creature spells that I otherwise don't have answers for.
Sign in Blood is here to help me draw into combo pieces early game, or in a pinch, and to be a kind of weird Blightning if my combo is going off.

Completely replacing Whispering Madness with Jace's Archivist ended up slowing down the deck. I've put back in Whispering Madness, and reduced Jace's Archivists to a two-of. This build focuses mostly on generating zombie tokens and card advantage, but I would still like to get extra black mana during my main phase, and not the combat phase.
