You aren't a fan of Blood Artist? He does wonders in an Ayli deck, and he makes it so other cards worth running are easy to combo out with. Consider Blood Artist + Fiend Hunter + Sun Titan as long as you can repeatedly sacrifice Fiend Hunter you can ping people. Or if you tossed in a Leonin Relic-Warder and Animate Dead you could reanimate the Relic-Warder and combo out.

I'm a bit surprised there aren't more ways to reanimate creatures in your deck. Animate Dead, Necromancy, Phyrexian Delver, Victimize, Sheoldred, Whispering One and Marshal's Anthem are all superstars in my deck.

False Prophet offers you a recurrable boardwipe that you can set off during other people's turns. Rout is another boardwipe you can set off during other people's turns, although leaving 7 mana open during your opponent's turns might let them know something is up.

I've seen Deathrender used to good effect in an Ayli deck, but I found that it either did a lot of work for me or was a very dead card.

Aura of Silence can also do a lot for you, it can keep your opponent's from playing their artifact or enchantment out of fear of losing it. It also slows down ramp strategies that rely on mana rocks.

Sword of the Animist is absolutely wonderful in an Ayli deck. With such a cheap commander you can easily start ramping early on, and the deck thinning helps you get better cards.

Gift of Immortality is a pretty great card too. It can help protect a creature you need to keep on the battlefield, aid you in comboing out (Ashnod's Altar + Gift of Immortality + Sun Titan offers you infinite mana and likely infinite life since Ayli is easy to replay). And slapping the Gift onto Kokusho can force your opponents to scramble for an answer.

Puppeteer Clique can do wonders. Whether it's just graveyard hate, or used in conjunction with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed to grab all the creatures in your opponent's graveyard (and then alpha strike them), or to generate infinite mana with Ashnod's Altar.

I don't know how often you run into other lifegain decks, or if people gaining control of your cards is an issue in your meta, but Erebos, God of the Dead does a lot of work for me. It shuts them down, and can give me some card draw in case I end up in a bad situation.

You should check out my Ayli deck.
