Best Planeswalker Ultimate??? (Besides Karn.)
General forum

My answer is easily Venser, the Sojourner . I love this card in general and I believe it is criminally under played.
The worst for me (besides the commander walkers) would have to be sarkhan, dragonspeaker. The other abilities are incredible, but the ultimate is underwhelming in red decks.
how did I forget jace??? WOW
brainfart
@alpinefroggy what I was trying to say is that you almost never reach ultimate, because he kills the opponent first.

PLEASE DO NOT SAY Jace the mindsculptor AGAIN
this is for anyone that wants to forget my mistake. I completely forgot about the best walker every, my bad.

Ummm, guys. Tamiyo, the Moon Sage is nearly unbeatable after ultimate.

I'm a red player, Chandra is my favorite Walker. Chandra Ablaze has maybe the best ult of the four.

I have heard that Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker does terrible things to people's faces when he "pops". That being said, my favorite ultimate would be Dack Fayden .
I have answered this under the presumption that the question is solely based under the ultimate ability, and not how it works with the other abilities.

i've only used the ultimate ability once on a planeswalker and that was Liliana Vess . my opponent conceded right after. other than that, i'd say Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker is pretty game ending. and i have to give a shout out to my boy Sorin Markov 's ultimate

Though not the most powerful, Ral Zarek has a hilarious ultimate when pulled off with 4 extra turns.

The new Jace, the Living Guildpact has a pretty devastating ultimate. It may not outright win the game but it's really hard to come back from that.

Tamiyo, the Moon Sage has the most entertaining ultimate, it doesn't win the game but also makes it really easy to finish people off. Also its one of the easier ones to actually pull off

Popped Ajani, Mentor of Heroes once. Opponent did not scoop. I got to have fun being reckless for a little while.
Good times.

I'm a big fan of Elspeth, Knight-Errant 's. While it doesn't win the game, it does make Nevinyrral's Disk a whole hell of a lot more fun.

In a vacuum I would say Gideon, Champion of Justice .You can tap your lands for mana before popping it then play your cards afterwards, and if you are above 15 loyalty he can remain on the field all alone.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave releases the kraken. I don't know what else you want me to tell you.

@Fulcrum Popping Ajani, Mentor of Heroes doesn't warrant a scoop anyway. In fact, every game I've ever played where an opponent hit the ultimate on MoH I ended up winning. "Every" meaning three times.

Tibalt, the Fiend-Blooded . Cause if you pull that off without dying first you are a hero.

Garruk, Caller of Beasts is pretty damn good.
I've got Chandra Ablaze off a few times and it's a blast every time. (seriously though...)

Kiora, the Crashing Wave deserves some love in the ultimate category. A 9/9 every turn with no way to stop it is crazy. I have a soft spot for Liliana of the Dark Realms because you permanently have essentially infinite black mana.

Venser, the Sojourner 's ultimate is ridiculous. I've seen it go off against me far too many times too.
As for best ultimate. That's a tough call. I really like Elspeth Tirel 's ultimate because it doesn't kill her and can activate the turn after she comes out. You have to put her into a proper deck of course but it's an extremely accessible ultimate power and all of her abilities are relevant.

Garruk Wildspeaker
His ultimate is easy to get, and if you have a deck with creatures, he just wins the game. It was also funny once I had a Garruk with twelve loyalty. Ultimated him 3 times now that is living.

underwhelming in red?
You draw burn spells and hasty or midrangy creatures and likely have the mana to jam them that ends the game very quickly also see pro tour khans round 4 or 5 where Raph Levy ulted sarkhan and grinded out the game with all the card advantage.
